Hi,
As you can see in this thread, there appears to be a bug with resistances for tanks.
When my 10% armour reduction from skills is present, and a 15% resistance plate, and a 10% resistance plate, the total displayed armour resistances in eve is 29.56%. However, if we follow EVE Online and apply the worst stacking penalties to the weakest mods, then the correct resistance should be (if I have calculated it correctly), 30.15%
Only by applying the larger penalty to the 15% plate, and the smaller one to the 10% plate, do I get an answer of 29.56%.
Of course, I don't know if this is a display bug, resistances bug, or working as intended. But if it's working as intended, it appears to not be working the same as EVE Online.
Thanks |

And for bonus marks (unrelated to this bug), my wallet is still closed because of this. |

As a tanker i've seen this as well... It looks like the Passive resists we get from Skills count as our first resistance plate when it comes to the stacking penalty...
Would love for this to be fixed soon... Oh and a number value of Shield resists would be nice |

If you check the original thread I linked, the passive resists from skills do not count as the first for stacking penalties. The problem is with the ordering. If you have a 15% and 10% resistance mod, you should (I believe) have the higher stacking penalty applied to the 10% module, in order to give you the best advantage. As it currently stands, you get the biggest penalty applied to the 15% module. That is, it uses the order 10,15 rather than 15,10. And there's no penalty being applied to your passive resistance skill, which is (I suspect) as it should be.
Shield resists would be nice, I agree :) |
