If you didn't pick it up from the tone of my post let me put it like this: No. With all the problems in this game right now, you're worried about players you're ALREADY farming from going AFK? If they remove the ability to go AFK people will just quit and either way you'll be starved of points\isk\GudFights\whatever you want. You must give people a reason to drop out and fight, not punish them for choosing not to.

I just don't react to ppl shooting me or what ever. In atleast one of the maps, there is a tank kill zone that I can wait for a tank to enter, jump from the mcc and on top of a building to kill. And I will wait for the entire game for it to happen if my team isn't doing so well. A single tank or llav kill is worth more to me than winning/wp/isk/sp. I would call a viper to get me on top of a high point, but I suck at flying and I'll learn when I have more isk to throw around. I don't blame ppl for wanting to afk when their side is getting creamed. They just want to wait out the slaughter and start a new match. Although, it can be like a domino effect that wasn't necessary. But for all those that find themselves in a game where a good portion of their team is afk or whatever, find a fun in game hobby to pass the time. Free lav race track, testing map areas, sniping, or what ever tickles your fancy. For ppl that afk from the beginning of a match to get free isk/sp, thats a different story. I have less sympathy for them, but I don't get mad at ppl for using game mechanics that are available to them.

We are mercs. Mercs choose their battles. Also this is only a symptom of crap game design by CCP (and the community that voted for it) with the whole Sp/leveling system.
