I understand that are still many things that people think need to be fixed before new content should be added and/or the focus in the future, but I would still like to contribute these (I may post more) ideas for new Dropsuit roles and see the reaction from the player base and possibly Devs. In addition, I'm on a quest to revive Light and Heavy Frame suits. I see too many Medium Frame suits and not enough diversity. I'd like to use Light Frames, but Scout just isn't my thing. Without further ado:

I designed this Dropsuit because there are no other non-Logi Dropsuits with more than 1 Equipment slot. The Wingman suit is a Light Frame suit that receives two Equipment slots and additional Armor, but sacrifices it's Sidearm, has lower CPU/PG than other Light Frame suits, and is a bit slower than other Light Frames.
The suit wasn't designed to be for combat, rather I had in mind a pseudo-Logi support role. In addition, there are fewer High slots to dissuade players from trying to use it as an Assault or Logissault suit.

I swapped the Amarr and Minmatar bonuses; I was trying to make the racial bonuses as close to their EVE reflection as possible, but I didn't know what to do for those two. I also adjusted the speeds of the Gallente and Caldari suits to be the same.
I think this is similar to a Commando Role for Light Frames; the name doesn't have to be exactly "Wingman"; I was using it to try to get the idea across.
I don't think removing the equipment slots would be the appropriate solution because there would be a lot of angry players whose primary suit would lose a slot and the Assault suits don't need a nerf. Removing a slot may be an easy solution, but I think it would further harm the balance of the game. |

Yeah, I think you're right. I know the Dust-EVE preferences are a little different, so it may have been that or my just donking it up. I'll swap the bonuses. |
