Can you really say they are pointless?
While they may lack constructive feedback, these "Doomsayers/Haters" topics still serve as a measurement of satisfaction of the game. If you haven't noticed, there are a lot of these type of topics. Far more than anyone would expect from usual levels of griefing given Dust's low level of exposure.
Consider the following approaches given concerns about high unemployment rates:
A small, open-to-the-public debate between ten to twenty economic experts
OR
A gathering of 10,000+ people protesting unemployment and demanding more jobs
Obviously the first approach is more helpful in solving the problem, but the second provides far more impact and is more likely to create publicity of the problem. |
