Put a bullet in its head, and start over.
Hire veteran FPS devs and build exclusively for PS4. Get rock solid controls and balance.
Use mistakes learned on PS3 to build something fun for PS4. it was a good beta.
Make each district an open world map about the size of a quarter of a Planetside 2 map, and allow for similar type of massive numbers in a battle. Itll make vehicles actually important instead of OP. Imagine having to defend a district against wave after wave of endless clone soldiers until your Fleet arrive to cut their resupply off.
Remove timer grind completely. Why incorporate the single most hated "feature" of EVE's Sov warfare??? Allow for dynamic attacking and defending, with defenders actually starting with holding their own obj's, which are spread out over the map.
Allow for Halo Forge like map creation. If you own a district, CCP will provide the terrain and assets, but depending on the district, you are required to place certain structures for it to be valid, and you can arrange to your liking.
BF4 style commander mode. Nuff said.
Open PVE like Destiny, let players roam the map killing drones and other stuff, or setting up resource harvesters, only to have to return to base to prepare for impending invasion.
More second screen integration with drone equipment, that you can spot enemies with, provide ecm or even remotely hack objectives.
Lastly, go balls out for EVE integration, no more tiptoeing. Unless EVE players have a reason to GAF, this game wont go anywhere.

inb4 lock Also, Commander Mode has been confirmed since the beginning, and enjoy having people in Asia take everything you own while you're asleep if the timers are removed.
Oh look, a Cronos trying to be relavant by trolling. |

The lack of a timer grind is probably what is killing planetside 2 though... Every empire made of pixie dust blown away so easily.
However the timer as is in dust is imo just as bad. There needs to be a way to inconvenience the defenders. |

There've been DevBlogs made about Commander Mode that you can still find on the official page, and being able to set reinforcement timers is the only thing that stops this game from mirroring Planetside 2 in the worst way possible.
In Planetside 2, when my outfit captures a continent, as soon as the people on the West Coast start logging on as we get off for the night, all the progress we made is gone within 15 minutes. |

Just make the time to hack a obj have insanely high time when the district is away from reinf time, getting smaller and smaller until it reaches reinf time, and the objs have normal hacking time. So, you could hack a district overnight if you wanted to, but do you really want to sit there for 3 hours and hold a button? |

While I haven't played PS2, from what I've seen.. Dust has a much better foundation for metagaming and owning districts than PS2. Its just that PS2 has a much better fps system with logistics play and guns, mostly to do with the much larger number of players in the same battle.
From what i've seen of the tanks, Dust has a much better system for tanks, its just that AV and Tanks is really imbalanced atm.
Aircraft... obv PS2 wins hands down, but Dust is just lacking assets in that department.
This game has so much potential, but that probably won't be realized until 64 player matches, a complete set of vehicle and aircraft assets, core mechanic refinement (fps, hit detection, dropsuit module balance), and gun customization.
This is why Dust feels like an incomplete game. |

So basically just throw all of CCP's ideas and steal everybody else's to make a copycat game. Then when people play it they are gonna say " Dis is just a knockoff BF4!!! CCP sukzzz, day r 2 stupid to mak thier own gam so day steal errbody else"?
You should run CCP because that is the BEST idea that I've ever heard... [sarcasm] |
