For those of you who just joined us in New Eden, this is what usually goes down in Eve Online. Expect the same level of shenanigans in Dust in the foreseeable future. Trust me, Eve players excel at causing the maximum amount of mayhem in their own game without any regard to the danger. I'm pretty sure Dust players will figure out how to do the same thing in the future. |

It seems like whenever someone figures out something fun to do in this game the majority of people on the forums whine about it not being honorable or not being a demonstration of "gungame", there is a huge disconnect between EVE and Dust game philosophy. |

As a member of Dust University, you should already be aware that Dust players have figured some shenanigans that cause mayhem in this game. After all, you were the first group to get awoxed. |

Am I psychic or is the dust community really predictable? You decide!
Probably the second one. |

Oh, I wouldn't limit it to Dust. Gamers are (for the most part) a fairly predictable bunch. Quick to react, slow to learn, bitching and moaning every step of the way because one particular feature or another is either total **** or colossally OP. Not to say that there aren't reasonable, rational-minded players out there, but they're usually a lot more quiet or soft-spoken than the whiners. |

What we experienced was just the appetizer. Wait until the economy opens up and merges with Eve's economy. |

This thread is funny.
And no, there will be no Burn Jita..
No, if this game has a fail point like EVE did, it will just wither and die. People just don't care as much about Dust as they do EVE. Because Internet Spaceships are serious business... Internet Clones are not. |

To be honest, the ability to send a message in DUST, an FPS, is very diminished compared to the single-shard, gigantic sandbox that is EVE.
What I believe would be truly impressive is if the opinions of mercenaries are conveyed throughout New Eden by capsuleers. When we start seeing that kind of connection, that camaraderie and friendship, but also betrayal and hatred, between both games, that's when we know we're truly integrated into one universe, one war.

One can only hope that CCP will one day in the future allow us to roam freely in the stations in orbit and cause mayhem. |

Thank God that DUSTs legions of AFK players and idiotic suicide AWOXers are as interesting and intriguing as the shenanigans that go on upstairs in EVE |

we can collectively AFK jita until it's one giant AFK fest. once your game gets to be that kind of joke, then I think something might change.
this game's development is so fricken bizarre it is definitely going to be a case study. i just hope it has a happy ending. |
