I'm pretty sure CCP is screwing themselves by making a terrible game. If Dust 514 was good, they wouldn't have anything to worry about.

Claiming that Sony is "trying to screw CCP" by letting other companies make good games for their systems might just be the most myopic argument I've seen here in quite awhile.

PSN brings 1000s of new players to Dust 514 everyday.

Not Sony's fault CCP can't retain them.....one thing Planet Side 2 has proven is that Sony unlike CCP knows how to retain players and knows how to make a game that will do just that.

The only difference between the PC version and PS4 is that it's being engineered as a console shooter.

Oh and since there will be zero connectivity to the PC side ...the population will be totally dependent on how many people want to sit down and play it, try it, whatever.

Guestimated 1st year PS4 instal base 1: 5,000,000-10,000,000 (I have NO idea on this number)

People kind of forget that the PS4 will only sell a few million in its first year on the market. Even if it did a miraculous 20,000,000, that's still 60,000,000 on PS3. So...in reality, Planetside 2, for the masses, means jack **** in the big picture. By the time the PS4 instal base has grown to a size that is a threat to DUST, CCP will port it over. By the time that happens, DUST will probably further highlight how shallow the PS2 experience really is after your puppy eyes get over the size of the battles when compared to DUST 514.

Have watched few PS2 gameplay videos. Player models move like wooden dolls. Grass is texture like in DUST before Uprising. Weapons look "matt". The graphics is really unimpressive (for PS4 game). Have noticed some frame drops. Whats's that much ado about?
