This is just my idea of what I'd like to see happen to racial bonuses, because right now they are boring. Note that these are only Medium Suits. I haven't taken into account Light or Heavy suits because the majority of those suits haven't been released yet.
So please Enjoy. :)
-- Medium Suits --
Assault Dropsuits:
Amarr - Lazer and Scrambler heat decrease 2% & Uplink Respawn Rate decrease 5%
Where theres one, there is more. Average all around. Uplinks are a beacon of death. Used offensively, the ability to call in reinforcements quickly allows their group to completely overrun an objective. Whilst used defensively, defensive positions are entrenched and attackers will find it difficult to break through their barrier.
Caldari - Shield Capcity Increase 2% & Reload Speed Increase 5%
Approach with caution. Their high shield output allows them to pop in and out of cover; lasting longer in medium to long range firefights. They are able to suppress entire groups with tremendous amounts of gunfire. Enemies may never seize a chance to approach his/her position.
Gallente - Armor Resistance to Light Arms Fire Increase 2%, Armor Module HP Increase 5%
A Slow but sure killing machine. A high armor pool allows the suit to stay in CQC for an extended amout of time, without the fear of flux. Their resistance to small arms fire typically sees them breaching and charging straight into a buildings or complexes, eliminating the typical "fatal funnel" when room breaching. This increases pressure on top of the defenders.
Minmatar - Complex Damage Increase 2%, Hacking Speed increase 5%
Fast, Guerilla assaulter. The pure damage dealt by the Minmatar suit and its speed is a force to be reckoned with. With high damage output it can harass enemies, deterring them from attacking a capture point or even push groups back. This suit has enough time to hack an objective or vehicle, to then escape or relocate to a defensive position.
-- Logistic Dropsuits:
Amarr - Nano-Injector Revive Armor Increase 5% & Uplink Capacity Increase 2%
Death means nothing. High armor repair on revive allows fallen team members to jump straight back into the frey. Whilst High Uplink capacity allows for near infinite reinforcements on a selected position.
Caldari - Nanohive capacity increase 5% & Nanohive Armor Repair Rate Increase 2%
Portable Supply Depot and Triage Unit. Securing an area gets even easier when you have a place to fall back and regroup. Squad members can fall back to a nanohive deployed by a Caldari Logi and quickly mount a counter attack. Ensuring that team members stay on the frontline.
Gallente - CPU and PG Decrease 5%, Passive Armor Regen Rate increase 2%
Jack of all trades. Able to adapt to any situation without negative effects. (Assumes >2 equipment slots) By deploying an array of equipment, the Gallente Logistics suit can heal, resupply, revive and or repair suits. Opening the squad to variety of tactics and opportunities.
Minmatar - Repair Tool Armor Repair Rate Increase 5% & Active Scanner bonus 2% (Overall Increase)
A true team worker. When not hugging the backside of a heavy or providing on field armor repairs. The use of a scanner allows their team to spot incoming waves of enemies, preventing them from being ambushed, or find that naughty little nova knifer hiding around the corner somewhere. (Possibly add war points for when an enemy spotted by scanner is killed by team member).
-- Hopefully you can see and/or imagine the possibilities if racial traits where to change.
For example pairing both a Gallente Assault and Minmatar Assault. The Gallente Suit leads the breach with a flux, whilst the Minmatar follows up behind dealing damage and taking down stragglers. As the Gallente lead the charge, he'd have aggro'd everything in the vicinity. Now the Minmatar takes advantage of this opportunity and uses its speed and damage to quickly carve a path to objective, quickly hacks, then returns to help mop up with the Gallente.
Or pair an Amarr Assault and a Caldari Logistics suit for a near impervious defence. Defenders spawn in at an incredibly fast rate, forever reinforcing positions. On top of that, they're glued to their defences, returning fire as they never seem to run out of ammunition. If the attackers do break defenses, defenders can regroup at the nanohive and mount a counter attack.
Phew...
I'll add again, I just feel that current racial bonuses are rather boring and forgettable. Suits are really just suits, nothing more and nothing less. They don't feel like they really do anything at all. By adding on better and multiple bonuses, they allow for more opportunities, specializations and role-playing.
