CCP after the Instant battle Academy remove starter fits
Make people Skill
Make the buy BPO or ISK stuff
Make them fight to stay alive instead of them say oh well its a free suit
Make them stop spamming the same AV, sniper suit again till they take you down

The starter fits are just Militia loadouts. I don't think any of them come out to more than 3k when all the mods are put together, and anyone can make them if they want to change their racial starter fits.
It really doesn't bother me, the difference between free and 3k in this game is negligible and it really only helps new-berries accumulate ISK before they start purchasing their STD or ADV gear. |

Its a GAME.
That is one Flaw with DUST.
Its a CHORE to play the Game, PC or otherwise.
You play a Game so you can just chill with your buds, not Work so you don't Instantly have to Restart you Career.
You obviously Were sadly attempting to Pubstomp, and get killed a Militia Player that Has More PS (Player Skill) then you.
So this Idea is to Gimp every Player Playing the Game that just wants to save their Proto or ADV for a match with Bearing, or New Players.
Zerging ia a Legitimate Tactic. So is Pubstomping, no matter how Hated it is, and how much it needs to get fixed so New guys have a chance to Play before Raging |

If you're encountering serious problems from guys in starter configurations then kudos to them, frankly. They're obviously doing something right or you're going wrong somewhere, some mix of the two.
Fielding expensive suits and haemorrhaging money in a match no-one cares about is more of an issue your end than that of the fiendish peasant who's just cruising about in his casual clothes and occasionally splashing muddy water on your silk finery.
Also gotta consider that the hypothetical situation of having no money has to be taken into account, can't be having a scenario where a person's completely unable to play, however unlikely it is. Judging from your last sentence this might be precisely what you want. Let's say it was introduced as an eminent possibility, would do absolute wonders for the amazing retention rate of players Dust is already showing, no? |

How is that a deterrent from doing all the same things?
If they play a full game and lost its still profitable. If they die 35 times its still profitable.
Your advice here only hurts those absolutely new to the game. Anyone out of the academy won't think twice about 5k for a potentially cheap kill. Get over it. |
