Yesterday, i've tried both, the distant repairer module for armor and the one for shields. It's funny but there are some problems with them.
- No wp
- Strange mechanics for lock on
- Impossibility to mount them on an HAV and maintain a good defense
- If your target gets out of range, the module still work but you can't re lock on your target
Suggestions
- Give wp
- Auto lock on, on friendly vehicles in circolar area around the user, if the target gets out of range and then re enters in range the module will auto lock him again.
- Give us proper vehicles for a support role, not LLAV, i want an HAV without big turret, a lot of armor/shield, auto reparation (for armor) and high shield recharge rate (for shields)
- Give us modules that can lock on infantry, only the LLAV can do it.

just change it into a Shield Transporter or Remote Armor Repair Gun, it's not like anyone actually uses LLAV turrets anyway. That way someone else can go on the turret and actually aim the gun at another vehicle himself and get Triage points for it (which gives the driver some points as well) |

No WP is tied to exploits that were repeatedly used by damaging vehicles and then repping them. Self inflicted damage and friendly fire are no different, if enabled, when it comes to total damage. So all of repair of installations and vehicles no longer give WP. I doubt seriously if it will ever come back.
They also time limit WP given to Logi Bros to Revives and Repair. |

Sorry, OP. Not enough of us are running support vehicles.
Vehicles, imho, aren't even durable enough to warrant bothering to do the tight-rope act of support with an LLAV.
Why use an LLAV for support, when it assaults just fine? Why bother defend or rep a HAV with one, when AV weapons do so much damage to him so fast, that he's doomed anyway? |

Nobody use them because they are not pratical, the LLAV remote repairer works on infantry but not on vehicles, i did not try if the remote repairer in the market works on infantry. Heavy remote rep are not fittable on a LLAV.
How i imagine them, you activate the module, it create a visible sphere, within this sphere you receive reparations, power and lasts of the reparations is based on, how many people who need reparations are inside, more people/vehicles less rep per second, less people/vehicles more rep per sec (of course every module will repair a fixed total number of HP before deactivating) |

This would be good for regular repair tools as well. A small circle could be used to heal allies, making it so the logibro actually has to aim it and decide who he wants to heal at any given time. It would alleviate the problems caused by the wonky lockon system and make the triage role more active and engaging. They just have to prevent people from healing themselves somehow. Maybe the sphere does nothing to you? |
