The build has indeed left the "rebalance adjustment" stage.
Sure, things are still different from last build, but battles are getting consistently better as this build's tactics and countertactics are taking root.
I'm seeing flux grenades flying to counter heavily shielded dropsuits I'm seeing people running more AV and blowing up murder taxis (even LLAVs) all the time Tankers are still being effective (still don't see why they're complaining) While nanite injectors are broken, logis are instead supplying uplinks LAVs are using GUNNERS to kill!
While plenty of things are still broken, it isn't that bad
The forums have been filled with pointless doomsaying and people who think every other game that comes out is flawless (the forums of the "better" games will probably be this bad too)
The point is, the forums are making the situation of dust out to be far worse than it actually is. Brighten the hell up, and enjoy what we have while waiting to find everything that isn't perfect with 1.2 |

Also seeing a lot more variety on weapons in the kill feed (among murder taxis). Seeing a lot of militia kills too, which is always great.

The game dev's certainly have something to work on, with that being said, the game still is enjoyable to me and obviously the 6000 players playing it. |

Doesn't matter the company that put a game out etc. etc. etc. there's always a group of doomsayers and chicken littles saying the sky is falling.
Not saying dust doesn't have it's problems because it does, but personally I take all the doom and gloom with a grain of salt because I've seen it all before. |

Today I'm running around the map and I find myself a sniper. I come up behind him, 2m away, aim down sights into the back of his stationary head and unload. A full clip from my AR. After running out of bullets I've gotten him to around 80% left on his shields.
He turns around and empties his entire SMG into me. I still have 75% shields. We both reload and just fire at each other from 5 metres apart, both of us barely moving, we go through another clip each and we're finally both into armour. We are both on our third clip before I finally win.
This isn't lack of player skill, this isn't lag, the game knows I'm there, we're barely moving and I'm getting the occasional hit marker and we are both doing some damage. Hit detection is just totally borked.
Then the next fight I nail some dude in 2 shots from half a map away, pretty sure he was as astounded as I was.
The basic FPS mechanics are just completely and utterly broken, that's not "isn't perfect", that's total Colonial Marines level BS. Just because CCP is a cool indie-developer-graduated-success-story with one good game doesn't mean they deserve to have their egos stroked when they have so badly implemented this one.
Why don't I quit? I dunno, I must be goddamn stupid, my OCD insists I should see out my current active booster while my commonsense looks over my shoulder and says "WTF are you doing?!" If 1.2 isn't the Jesus patch commonsense will probably win. |

My issue with DUST is the repetition. If this were an officially released MMO we would at least have other things to do, but playing the exact same battle for over a year now has really started to take its toll on me |

Funny. It didn't force me to spec into AVs. I just hop on top of the LAV and ride it like a wild bull killing the driver with my knives. |

I remember in Replication and Codex that I had to endure the following:
1. Micro-warping mercs. 2. [INVALID FITTING] error 3. Constant hard freezes every 2-3 matches. 4. Scouts with dumb-fire swarms running into cramped rooms suiciding whole groups. 5. People getting spawn killed in their own redlines. 6. ARs able to compete with snipers 7. HMGs able to out range an assault. 8. Knives were so weak that you couldn't hit anyone, not even yourself. 9. Endless spawn killing in ambush matches where you died before your screen loaded up. 10. Character collision messed up my sneak attacks and made it hell for hackers. 11. Poles were so powerful that proto tanks died when they even touched them. 12. Dropships lived up to their names... literally. I mean, imagine a dropship constantly crashing into the ground on purpose and survive to continue crushing mercs. 13. Swarm launchers couldn't catch up with their targets and their range was pathetic at best. 14. Graphics took so long to load up that the matches were usually halfway done by the time they finished loading. 15. Logging into the game took almost 5-7 minutes alone. 16. LAVs had about the same handling as that of a Rally car on slicks driving on the dirt roads in the middle of winter. 17. Snipers able to kill you from the complete opposite side of the map. 18. Improper rendering made it impossible to sneak in even with L5 skills invested into profile dampening. 19. Audio problems with the computer-voice lady and guns. 20. Remote Explosives were the OP flavor of the month as it was easy to just throw it down and instantly nuke your target without much effort. They were just as effective as grenades. 21. FLUX grenades were able to kill you even when they were meant to just knock out your shields. |

I wish I knew how to upload/stream gameplay. Complaints about long fights? Aim for the head. I kill people in 2-3 shots with my scramblers. You sometimes get the feeling that guy should be dead and isn't but for the most part my fights are over in a second. Even caldari logis die quick to scrambler headshots. The trick is to end the fight before by dancing even begins |

What's wrong with being forced to use a counter? Your damn right people should be forced to use a counter.
And what do messed up mechanics have to do with applying the proper counter for a situation?
Should proper mechanics mean you can destroy a tank with your Assault Rifle?
If the mechanics worked properly, no one would use a counter? Why wouldn't they?
Now that people are wising up to the counters, solutions for some so called "OP" tactics/weapons/situations are becoming more apparent.
So yeah, damn right people are forced to use the counters. Good.
