Seriously I envisioned DUST being me, a merc, being in communication with the EVE capsuleer who required my services telling me what he/she needed done planet side and me telling them what I needed done in space.

So far this feels more like a poor version of Halo with a few game modes and has no semblance of what the trailers show or what we the players perceived DUST would be.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know - 10 year plan with rolling updates etc, but I don't want it to be 2019 when the game actually starts to become great with MTAC's stomping across the battlefield, jets overhead, speeder bikes racing around, and a true metagame.

In the end I guess I just feel slighted. I see DUST as this game with such potential, but as of late it makes me think of a high school student whom a teacher knows has great potential and is very intelligent, yet the student doesn't do their schoolwork and thus squanders their ability - it's painful CCP.

I'm still holding on, but I'm starting to lose hope.

There's been quite a few people saying this is how they expected this game to be - I get the feeling that CCP lost sight of its own vision in the rush to get a game out to market. Instead of everything promised in the early trailers, we've been given a mediocre FPS with seriously tenuous Eve links.

That trailer still gives me goosebumps...too bad that's what DUST MAY look like by 2020.

ok I know it's taking CCP so long to update the game and make it look like that trailer but maybe it'll look that around 2030!!

lol we're just hating CCP now , but i would say wait until 2015 till it looks and feels as awesome as the trailers. Until then CCP will slowly update Dust 514 which should still be in Beta.

The thing is, why should I have to wait for 2015 until the game becomes "awesome"...I don't have to wait until 2015 for BF4 to be awesome, or the last of us, or remember me...
