Exists with dynamic exterior and internal vehicle damage. The spark for this post came from recalling good ol' 2005 with Colin McRae Rally 05. Oh I am starting to feel old here.

I'm imagining a system that indicates damage to the wheels and engine block. Vehicle regions can sustain damage from a head on collision for example. The severity of this damage is color indicated. Until damage reaches a failure point, it can be repaired with on-board modules. If any one area of the vehicle sustains irreparable damage, the driver may find themselves fighting misaligned steering or a stalled engine which may leave the driver and any passengers open to an easier counter-attack. Damage systems such as these encourage more careful and precise maneuvering. Yet, they also allow leeway to make tactical 'breaches' into pedestrian crosswalks.
On a closely related subject, how would people feel about damage modifiers to highly weakened sections of vehicles using this dynamic damage system? What about in the context of HAV's and Aerial Vehicles? |

Good idea but with this team I believe it would take to long to implement and when it does go live it would be buggy as hell |

Agreed. I can only imagine how difficult this would be to translate to such an expansive multiplayer game. Nonetheless, the mechanic seems sound to me for encouraging better, more immersive driving. |

Need to fix their handling and what not if you are going to increase roll over damage, we all know how easily they flip over from even the smallest bumps |

LAV handling is getting better, it's a lot better than Chromosome was.
And I like the OP's idea |
