The biggest problem for us is that there aren't enough FW battles for the Amarr. Sometimes sitting there waiting for a certain type of FW battle to pop up just becomes a chore. We have had great success when we do get into either Amarr or Minmatar battles but sometimes there just aren't any to join!

You fly into a system after joining FW to sit a a point in space for a set amount of time. The timers ticks down to zero if an opposing doesn't enter the complex ( called rooms or plex) and when the timer hits zero the faction awards LP ( loyalty points ) to you. When a certain amount of LP is donated to the ??? ( I forget the name) the system is taken over in the name of the faction you are fighting for. A pilot can decide to spend the LP at a station for faction ships and items instead of donating. In DUST the FW battles influence system control EVE side.

As far as I know the two biggest (and recruiting) Amarr FW corps are the PIE (Praetoria Imperialis Excubatoris) INC and Amarr Immortal Volunteers are always present in there.
