Planetside 2 is coming to the PlayStation 4 and as far as we know Dust 514 is a PS3 exclusive.
What do you think? Could this become a competition problem?
We all know how jaded the gaming majority is, they'll prefer Planetside over Dust simply because it's on the newer console. Not only that, Dust 514 is shall we say "incomplete" in terms of weapons, armor, vehicles, content, ect. Could this undermine Dust itself?
In my opinion, if CCP plans to release Dust 514 for the PS4, they should be quick to announce it. I know how much they like surprises but I think this should be a cat that they let out of the bag early...if that cat is even in there, that is.
As a side conversation, since Planetside is going to console; Does this give CCP all the reason to release Dust 514 for the PC? I prefer to not to comment on that little subject. |

I think fanboys and people that spent too much time on Dust will stay on Dust, unless you need to make a new account for Dust on the PS4. Some people will play PS2, they will like it or go back to Dust once they are over PS2. As for me, I am heading to FFXIV once it comes out on PS4. I dont want to leave Dust but I am not hearing anything from CCP, no notes, no future plans/builds and to be honest, I think Dust should do what FFXIV did. Get it offline and rebuild the game. |

Oh GOD are you going to hate it.
Enjoy skilling up for weapons in Dust?
1000 Cert points for any good gun, 250 XP to a Cert point, 100 XP for kills.
All of that in a game where you're lucky to find people who'd rather fight than jump to another continent and cap an empty base for the XP, which will only get them 4 Cert points, or maybe 6 if they're lucky and their Faction's population is low. |

and wat about dust. 2-3 months just to get any good gear. Not to mention getting core skills maxed.  1 month for the gun, 1 - 2 months for the suit, 2-3 months for core skills, 1-2 months weapon upgrades. o and u want to switch guns. well then more grinding away. ur acting like it's easy in dust or something. and in dust u acculy need the gear to do anything. |
