If the previously offered, endless, horribly botched and only partially complete respec process is still in the works when the next patch hits doesn't that drive home the advantage / disadvantage for players? |

If we were to get another respec, for having heavy racial suits unlocked... I'd consider speccing into them to receive it.
Perhaps a simple refund of the Amarr heavy suit skills would be better... then you could decide to pick it up again, or use one of the other suits.
I'm pretty certain we knew this would happen a while back though. I run militia fits on my alt, with few enough issues. Because I'm waiting for new stuff to spec into (or at least have the option to spec into). |

I received my respec, and spared 3M SP for racial variant suit. Running a BPO until then. Doing ok....Except last night when I played OMS against CUBS, REGNYUM, OAKLEY and other lol. Was fun still. |

CCP could at least make the basic amarr heavy suit skill a universal basic heavy suit skill. and make us spec into the racial suit. so we don't really lose anything, unless you specced into the sentinel suit then tough luck for you. |

Why didn't CCP just save whatever racial differences for a top-tree spec-in, and just make cosmetically different but statistically identical suits for all races?
i.e.
light/scout frame - all races have one that just look different
med/assault/logi - ditto
heavy - el ditto grande
you spec into the TYPE of player you want to be and at some point they offer a spec slot for "racial bonuses". Then you can apply your race's advantages by skilling into it, or even switch races by skilling into another racial bonus. |

In Eve they never gave any kind of respec when new ships and skills were added. You only got some kind of SP reimbursement if they changed or removed skills you were specced into.
The only way to be able to spec directly into new content was to have unspent SP accrued, which by the way you were not even able to get in Eve unless it was from a previous reimbursement you never spent. |

I'm waiting for the Gallente heavy for my AV. Getting squished in my heavy BPO isn't fun but I'd rather not waste the sp. If CCP follows a similar slot scheme, the Caldari heavy is going to do some sick damage with all those hi slots. Gallente will probably be the brick that you keep at objectives.
