I appreciate that I went to bed, and the server was back up when I checked at lunch time (gmt+10) the next day. Thank you.
Can I suggest you provide more feedback on the status of the server? I checked my post here on the forum to see if an update on the Oceania server ETA was posted, but there wasn't any information to say yay or nay.
You should get a forum PR guy that walks around the office with a simple notepad and writes down things that need community updates, such as server issues or event details. He/she can just cross them off with a pen once he has made an announcement post or replied to the appropriate thread 
PLEASE children do not reply to this thread with "SEE CCP U NEED 2 GET UR **** TOGETHER". I know CCP will read this and take it in to consideration, Reply or not. Your flaming input is not needed and I will report troll posts  |

I believe mintchip is supposed to be the forum PR guy you suggested but Ill admit my eyes kind of glaze over when I see a CCP tag next to an avatar so Im not entirely sure what they are supposed to be doing here |

Are you asking for updates to come in 24/7? Are you asking for server updates to contain GMT+10 time stamps in them? Are you imagining that there is an Oceanic version of Tranquility?
The oceania server option was missing lastnight. I posted a thread inquiring and CCP replied that they will look in to it. My suggestion is that CCP edit their post, or add a new post, or make a new topic, announcing when the Oceania server is back online. Which is much easier than being in-game repeatedly checking if it's back yet for users. |
