For a free to play game it says it's up to the publisher's decision. Doesn't mean all F2P games will not require PS+. |

Ps2 is fun until you realize that the only way to get better guns is by buying them or waiting a month and a half to get them. |

1. It would cost way too much money and take up too much time 2. It's really unoptimized
I doubt they'll even port this game to UE4 when they move to Ps4. Don't worry though planetside won't be able to achieve the graphics in that video (Ps4 = Mid range PC today). |

I know it wont be an overnight thing, but I'm confident that this is going to be Dust's final destination once the client gets phased out on PS3. Judging by all the lingering bugs and glitches, you can tell that the UE3 wasn't what they intended to run Dust on but kind of a placeholder to put something out at the time. If we're going to have any EVE involvement that matters, Dust is going to have to be on the PS4 and it's going to have to run on Carbon at some point. Well let's put it this way. To port this game in the state it's in now to ps4 would take at the very least 2 years (That's if CCP are amazing devs and I mean AMAZING). Now to port this game to carbon would be like deleting this game and starting all over again which would cost CCP way too much money.
I mean if CCP do do it then good but it's very unlikely. |

They did the same thing with EVE when they converted to HD. The client was available for SD for a few years until it was phased out. This isn't going to be an overnight thing, probably something we'll be seeing over the course of 3-5 years. Maybe less if this is what they're keeping quiet about. That's a lot easier then porting a game to a console which uses a different filesystem then the previous one and porting this game to a new engine.
This will never happen I can guarantee you that. |

Unless of course they get a cut of the PS+ money. I guarantee you any publisher that only allows PS+ subscribers to play will get a lot more benefits from Sony since they are making them money by doing it. |

No, that means that any F2P devs, that don't want to have their multiplayers be behind the PS+ paywall, will all be given the "option" to chose to cover/compensate some of the costs to Sony in order to have their games be PS+ free as far as requirements go. So, I guess the question here is... has CCP already struck a deal with Sony to keep Dust truly free-to-play even on PS4? Considering that Dust is a PSN exclusive, lets certainly hope so. Yes I know. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. |
