I've seen a lot of posts just bashing ccp, and bashing the game and loads of angry FPS gamers. But I thought it would be time for some more constructive criticism. However, I'm not going to do it alone, I'm going to ask you all, what you really want from this game. Everybody knows the game isn't perfect, and maybe not too good either in it's current state. So let's get get talking about what we really want in this game. Everything from bug fixes to additions are welcome. I'll start out with some things, and edit this post as more suggestions come in (from all you people!).
Bug fixes and Tweaks
- Nanite injector fix
- Collision detection not good enough
- Rocket launchers in LAV hits car when launched
- Crashes/Freezes
- Input lag
Balancing
- Armor repairing not nearly as good as shield reparing (for dropsuits)
- Armor repairing much more efficient than shield tanking, and almost unbreakable (for tanks)
- The gap between proto gear and militia/beginner is generally too big
- Rifle range (mostly the gap between better rifles and beginner)
- Better dropships
Additions
- More connection to eve
- PvE
Please come with suggestions, and constructive(!) criticism. |

I think that the reason that a lot of people end up bashing CCP is because there are just so many things that need improvement that it's hard to break it down into a few simple requests.
And what's worse, even if we do break down some simple, easily fixable requests, CCP takes ages to ever actually get around to fixing them.
To single one thing out for instance, getting WP for counter-hacking, dropship CRU spawns and destroying enemy equipment. Is there any reason this can't be added tomorrow, or at least next week? They've known about this issue for months.... |

Also I'm not sure what you mean by "Affects of previous battle seen on the battlefield in the next battle", care to elaborate? :)

More than any single balance issue or game feature, I want them to add the remaining Scout and Heavy suits to the game. I don't care if they're walking gray boxes with MODEL SOON printed across them.
I feel the basic racial choices must be in the game sooner rather than later to truly hash out balance. Otherwise you're balancing around missing pieces. |

-Hit detection in and around all installations is a huge LOL, remove the hit boxes from terminals and Null cannons - until we can actually destroy them.
-Contact grenades need to go. if you're going to have contact grenades, make them Flux grenades.
-Any weapon that kills by blast radius needs to be looked at hard - flaylocks, I'm looking at you. Approximation should not be rewarded with easier kills than having to actually aim with an AR or SMG.
-Heavies, remove them. It was an interesting Idea, but there seems to be little will to let them be them selves, Instead we're arguing range tweeks and turn speed that won't make a damn bit of difference, ugh. Just dump the heavy. -you failed.
- Increase scout strafe speed. |

i want std, adv and proto removed and dropsuits and vehicles given names with there own bonus. so for example the ammar medium std would become the executioner with its assault varient becoming the crusader. like that other game, forgot its name

Inertia dampeners causing damage or displacing enemies within its effects radius. Also it'd be sweet if they could be activated earlier to reduce fall damage that wasn't just life threatening. I'd be cool if this was a skill.
An overlay of your active chat channel so you don't have to hit select and stop what you're doing.
More immersion when it comes to overall sound design. The game is just too quiet. It doesn't sound like a battle zone.
A rework of the comms system based on priority. Ie- squad leaders can communicate with each other while in their respective squad channels. This will HOPEFULLY encourage better team play/communication.
A sort of "Corporation Announcement" where anyone of importance can send a voice message to ALL mercs that are online even if they are deployed and in a squad. Imagine your AI kicking on "Attention incoming corporation transmission" / "End of transmission." |

If Dust ever becomes successful, expect a EVE-style "Tieracide" to breathe new life into it. At this point I'm happy with the current, if not simplistic, gear system. |

I don't think PvE is enough anymore.
Look, I love EVE. I used to enjoy Dust and I'll play it because I have hope (lol), but if I'm faced with the decision to play Dust and get frustrated, or play something like Destiny etc, it's not really a hard choice right now. CCP Shanghai really needs to dig deep. Foundation mechanics need to be priority one. Good matchmaking needs to be implemented and the gun game needs to be tightened up.
I know it's too early to begin messing with sovereignty mechanics, but they can at least "practice" with FW. Make FW battles in Dust and EVE epic. Make EVE players have real reasons to coordinate with Dust players and Dust players to coordinate with capsuleers. Make racial faction equipment. Amarr tanks painted white and black like their Navy counterparts. etc. We need webifiers. We need target painters. ECM bursts (maybe). All the things that make EVE tactical and (sometimes) interesting.
I'd like to see a commander mode. I want higher player counts in fights, and in some places, unbalanced player counts. I'd like to see more variation in vehicles. How about a one-man light tank similar to PS2's Lightnings? I'd like to see auto-cannons on Minmatar tanks, and high-arc artillery for support. Boosters and impants for uses other than SP.
As far as PVE goes, I want free roam on the planets we have in hi and lowsec --mass effect style-- with enemy bases that have the potential to drop illegal boosters, officer equipment, and limited run BPOs. I want Incursions to be something Dust mercs get to fight in --Let Capsuleers fight overhead and Mercs clear the cities on the ground. Maybe missions from NPC corps that require you to group up and clear NPC-owned districts. The possibilities are endless.
There is so much low-hanging fruit, CCP just needs to reach out and grab it. |

Destructible terrain is very hard to make, and barely any games except for f.ex. red faction has it. I'm not sure unreal engine even supports it. |

Then I'd like basic suits to get some sort of racial bonus based, and then the specialized suits (scout, assault, etc.) got more bonuses tiered from basic, advanced, and proto rather then just one class bonues, shared by all suits, a single racial bonus.
Also while I understand having several options in the skill trees, ultimately could add to longivity by giving players something to strive for. I wish there were militia variants of more weapons or trees were "bundled" a bit, so skilling into a basic option unlocked all the weapons at basic level for that option and then unlocked the trees to specialize in those weapons individually, making it a little easier to start skilling into another weapon. For example the first point might be laser weapons which could unlock basic the basic level scrambler and laser rifles. That way if you're interested in another weapon system you've got the basics unlocked quicker.
Then finally some sort of "transfer" module that when equipped took up a slot on one end while creating a new one on the other. Of course it would need to be limited to prevent extreme abuse, but it could open up different builds. |
