This is an odd combo a heavy armored sniper. I am just wondering if it isn't a workable possiblety

oooohhhh - you watched the new "trailer". Lucky you - just keep in mind the horrid gameplay that was included to see if you want to use a heavy sniper.

it could work well as a counter sniper with the ability too take multi-shots. you will suffer with no speed so stealth is a no go. if you get a dropship and fly to a tower or something high w/ teamates it could be very effective. you'll need team mates with nanohives/drop uplinks because heavys don't have equipment and as a sniper there wont be any coviently placed suplydrops/CRU's around

The biggest drawback, and why I don't do it anymore, is the lack of an equipment slot for nanohives. Stealth is really a non issue with a sniper build.

Heavy snipers will often start the match in a Logi suit, setup camp, and then switch at a Supply depot or when they get killed. This does not work as well now since the Drop Uplinks light up the enemy radar like a christmas tree, but that is being fixed in the next patch. If you squad with a Logi that can setup camp for you, that would make it easer.

If I get counter-sniped, I will spawn in my "blob" sniper with over 900 hp (militia heavy) with armor plates since I have already setup in a good position and shouldn't have to travel

I personally want to try it once I get the SP to throw around. Ofc, they shouldn't by any means be used as a traditional sniper. They aren't stealthy at all, and they're blind. However, I'm sure they would be great just behind the front lines.

you could try a gallente logi suit with 3-4 armor plates and 1-2 armor reppers. This would get you near heavy hp (and speed
) and you'd have the equipment slots to remain self-sufficient and still retain the high power slots for damage mods. |

I did a heavy sniper on the last build. I liked it, but you can't survive anywhere near the conflict.

I have a heavy sniper build. he is great for when I have to counter snipe. I have absorbed 4 shots and made the kill. I ahve also spawned in and taken out less gifted raspberries with my SMG. No you won't run very fast, or really far, but if you keep getting picked off, it's a great way to level that playing field.

I forgot his name but there was a guy in seraphim who would go to a spot with a logi sniper and place down nano hives and an uplink. When he would die he would respawn in a heavy suit. I never faced him but I heard it worked well and he was very hard to kill.

Edit: I believe his name was trollsroyce
