Aren't dropships light aircraft?

Last build they were alright (eve though they were still heavier than they were before), but now it feels like a battle just to stay in the air (I'm talking about trying not to land- not avoiding crashing them)- if someone's shooting at you; game over, and you just lost 75 wp. Dropships also are less capable of performing their role as a transport this build because LAVs can move around the map more quickly- I can't even imagine how slow dropships would be if someone would fit armor plates to try getting reasonable eHP. Did I mention a WP penalty if you get shot down? Dropships need a fix BAD- give us the speed and agility that we used to have. People who don't know what they're doing may crash more, but it'll make up for the good pilots getting shot down do to a terrible vehicle.

It was a clever move because there were already so few pilots, so very few people even noticed.

I recommend making a RL model of the dropships to practice with, ya know so you don't lose ISK in the game. You are going to need a large brick, held aloft by balloons and maneuvered by box fans.

If I were to design flight mechanics one sentence it'd contain the terms "nimble", "immediate feedback" and "straight-forward", so I really don't know what happened at CCP's.

CCP saw how overpowered and absurdly useful dropships were, so they decided to bring them back in line with the other vehicles

I remember, and I could only pull it off with excess speed doing a loop the loop in one. Now your lucky if you can keep the nose up. And yes I can fly. Alas not very well in these new drop ships. I'm looking forward to the next build when we get attack aircraft, similar to an F15+ (I hope) that should be fun. Now all they can do is offer people, particularly Snipers a free lift to the top of the MMC. As for skilling into them in this build, they have been seriously crippled. So I will give that a miss. Here's hoping for some new content and not just new things in the store. P.S. there's a Aerial Vechile Pack for sale on the PSN now, where the vechiles require less skill in flying them. Give that a shot..

Or at least they did that one build. Obviously, those efforts were in vain because I saw a dropship take off and immediately fly into one of the big rocks in manus peak.

It could of been a war raven guy as well. Can't remember. (It was on a tower btw where people snipe at in the compound)
