I was director of a small Corp and was recruiting people and making steady deposits (as were all the other people in the Corp) to help get us to 80 million ISK. Today I log on and the CEO sends me an email; to paraphrase "the Corp isn't doing as we'll as I hoped and I am making you the new CEO and BTW I cleaned out the wallet......... It's just good business"
He made off with about 33 million ISK. I know to some that isn't a lot but for a small Corp starting out with not that many members it sucks.
And to another point, what's to keep someone from doing this all the time. A good way to farm ISK if you want to be an A-hole.
Is there any action that can be taken? If anything I would just like to see this punk get some kind of discipline. |

Yeah, find out where he lands, let the CEO know. Infiltrate his Corp, steal it back, etc.

Quite frankly, the best action is to tell people who are prospective corp members (in That Guy's corp) to back off because of what you've heard. I think. I don't really know how corporate politics work, but there's no real action that CCP is going to take because one of the things that makes this game and EvE Online unique (and attracts complete dickheads like flies to honey) is the that fact. They don't stop it; they want players to take care of it. |

The only action you can take is social.
There will be no official reprecussions from the GMs/Devs. This sort of metagaming is allowed by CCP.
Either forget it and move forward with the corp as the new ceo.
Get the guys PSN id from his hcharacter details and track him. Make it your duty to inform everyone of what he did.
Thats all you really can do until bounties and/or/if) such are implimented. |

30 is easy to make back, just ask your corp to donate. |

all that for 30 mil, what a scrub. Had a guy in corp default on a loan once and leave ( was only 800 mil ), within 3 days he had to sell his character, I managed to track down his 2 new characters he bought with the funds from that sale, and had him needing to sell them by the weeks end. In the end I got a huge hate mail, and a now I don't have a good character because of you , no corp will take me blah blah blah. Amazing what a little proof and a lot of white lies added to it can cause in new eden :0 |

He may have gotten away with your ISK.
But you have been taught a lesson in real life.
You trusted a stranger and he betrayed your trust.
Don't trust strangers and they won't betray your trust.
Moreover, you trusted someone on the internet.
He has your money, but it only exists as bits.
You have a physical/chemical memory.

Publicise all his known character names and his PSN id everywhere you can. Grief him, let all his future corp mates know he isn't trustworthy, etc. If you do this right then he will never have a role with more impact on the game than a newbie ever again.
Also, consider it a valuable lesson. If you think someone has even the slightest possibility of being untrustworthy or an A-hole then don't give then your ISK. |
