Dust 514 is terrible. The developers must of been on something when they were making this game. Here are some reasons why I think Dust 514 is not worth the time to play.
1. Terrible Spawning: I always spawn with my teammates but usually they are fighting and I get caught up in the middle of the fight and die.
2. Confusing Gameplay: I have no clue how to buy new weapons or edit my class. I also don't even know how to upgrade my vehicles or guns! The marketplace is in AUR which is a currency you have to buy with real $$$.
3. Weapons: The weapons in the game have terrible accuracy, damage, and clip size. It takes me about 2 full clips with my assualt rifle to kill an enemy which I think is pathetic.
4. Loading: The game client update was about 1.33GB to download and I have a top speed internet service provider (2MB/s) but my internet speed was only going 298kb/s. It ended up taking me 2 days to update the game.
Please discuss what you agree with or disagree with. I also have no problem at all with lag. That's the one thing the developers perfected in!

1. QQ, spawning is a lot better than pre PC release.
2. There are ingame tutorials and eyes in your head to understand this, there are some AUR items in marketpalce, correct, majority is ISK (ingame currency)
3. It takes you 2 clips with your terrible aiming, takes other half a clip, thats you not the game.
4. Never had that issue, but 2 MB/s is awful to start with.

I shouldn't have to read the tutorials to understand the game. Why Don't I just go find a waltkthrough on youtube?

Dust is a very heavy game, compared to most other games of this style.
upgrade skills - press start, character, skills BAM
weapons - Press start, fittings, drop suit fittings, select suit edit, select weapon, replace.
look on youtube for the drunken heavies new player guides, they will help you by the sound of things.

I'll agree mainly on the internet connection thing.
You may have good speed, but PSN can really suck sometimes.
Now they're going to REQUIRE people pay for this sucky internet service, on the PS4?

It doesn't take two clips because your gun is bad. It takes two clips because you are bad with the gun.
A standard AR can kill several people in one clip. |

1. CCP is well aware of the current spawning system can be 'gamed' as the term I like to use around there and are looking for additional refinements. If done right even if you are getting pub stomped bad it will be more of a whack-a-mole across the entire map and not a small little corner of it.
2. CCP is putting major emphasis on fixing this aspect. Details pending but you can help out in the process here
3. Is a personal problem, while I do recognize some weapons have issues the assault rifle is more than capable of downing ANYONE outside a vehicle in one clip.

There needs to be ISK items on the Store Front again, because curently the all-AUR items is sending the wrong message that all the good items are AUR only, especially to newer places who do not dig around for deals. It IS true that CCP relies on AUR items to make a profit, but you don't want to throw all the shiny AUR items in the players' faces the second you jump on the Marketplace. |

Not sure, but I think the OP is trying to point out the fact that the game is not un-friendly to noobs, it just plain hates them. And unfortunately this is more than true too many hard cores on the forum not enough people who play to have fun so CCP gets the wrong idea of what the "Whole" player base wants. |
