Anyone else read that right? ps+ Call it what you want, but doesn't that mean that if you want to play online.... YOU. NEED. TO. "SUBSCRIBE"? $5 per month. I guess those people who can't afford to eat won't be playing online.
Funny you would say that, PS fanboys have been screaming that is what makes PS better than Xbox. XBL Gold only cost $5 a month too. |

I'm not arguing either way on that. I'm just saying that people complained about the XBL Gold cost to play online and gave that as a big reason for wanting PS3's. Now people are willing to let Sony do the same thing and accept it. That is all I was committing on. I'm an Xbox fanboy and I know it. I could care less about trade in. I own 1 game disc, and that is BF3. Every other game that I own, is digital. All of my old discs I either gave away or brought back to Gamestop. Once I could get them online, I figured why should I go to Gamestop? I have 2 games pre-ordered, BF4 and SC: Black List, both disc games, but whatever, doesn't really matter that much to me.
There's nothing wrong with the PS4, but really, other than a hardware upgrade, it doesn't offer anything that PS3 doesn't. XB1, gives me more features, as far as the media control is concerned. I personally like the idea of having one box to rule them all. |

Funny,I was thinking kind of the same thing. They said that you could play all of your single player titles for free on PSN,but didn't say anything about online MP games. The deliberate and calculated wording really makes one wonder. More than only being able to play online, PS+ offers free games....they will give Xcom AND Uncharted 3 for ps3 this month..they will give a Plus version of DriveClub at lauch...for free...Xbox Live will not do that, they will charge you to be able to play that used game that you already paid at GameStop...
Wrong, starting in July all XBL Gold members will get 2 games per month. Starting with Halo 3 and AC2.

I personally like the idea of having one box to rule them all. Makes since I'm a gamer so those features are pointless to me, and ps4 will still have netflix and internet for my **** that's all the media I need To expand on that a bit: From day one of the PS4, 150,000 movies and TV shows will be available to the "Video Unlimited" service on the PlayStation Network. "Music Unlimited" offers 20 million-plus songs to stream across PlayStation platforms, Android devices, and iPhones. All the usual suspects join these two when it comes to available servicesGÇöNetflix, Amazon Instant, MLB TV. And Lynton did announce new partners such as Red Box (and its 7,000 movies) and Flixster.
Except I don't subscribe to any of those services since I have cable with DVR and what not. The only service I sub to is Amazon. Those services however do not constitute the whole of what XB1 can do. I can control my TV, get my football and other sports, as well as multi-task other things like getting the latest up to the minute updates from other games and what not.
I'm not slamming the PS4, by any means, I'm just saying that for me, it doesn't have the features that I want AND in fact offers no new features over the existing PS3. It only offers a hardware upgrade.
I'll still buy a PS4, I have to many friends around the world that are PS exclusive players, just like I have friends that are exclusive XB players....so I'll be getting both, but I'll get the XB1 first.... |

You have to sub to the individual services, but you don't have to have a PS Plus plan to use it. The new PS Plus plan will only effect Multi-player online. Which begs the question, will Dust players that are not on Plus be required to pay $60/year to Sony to play Dust? |

Chalk another one up for Sony.
MS didn't announce any next-gen games for XBL Gold, however since XB1 doesn't play (at least not confirmed) 360 games, I would imagine that on release XB1 games will be available. Oh and those games you are talking about, aren't premium games, they are independent developer's games that are no even close to AAA titles on the PS4. |

Of course you are right, we already have to pay for the console and the game, but that's Capitalism, we have to deal with it...
Um that is $49 right now. It'll be $59.99..(less than $5 a month) by the time PS4 hits the market. So get it while it's cheap. |
