One thing 90% percent of people that were playing the beta were using "Caldari" assualt suits. Caldari is a shield dominate suit of course your going to die fast. Check out old videos from the beta and look shield and armor( I bet their shield were a whole lot greater than their shield). I know that i had three time the amount of shield than armor because that was the only had Caldari
I didn't what to go fast fast, but weak( Gallente scout suit)
I didn't what to go supportive and helpful, but only get one weapon( Minmatar Logistic suit)
I didn't what to go strong and defensive, but slow like a turtle( Amarr Heavy Suit)
Caldari was the only suit that i had and we know that Laser eat shields
now that we more suit the problem should been solve, but nooooo it useless now
Now there a stacking penalties on the dmg mods so it should be less strong
Please CCP return it to it chromosome style and change it operation from cooldown speed to heat build up like the original
Also take away that glow effect it hard to see through that small and terrible sight( who design that)

things change therefore the laser rifle in the beta is not OP after the Uprising update |

Yeah I would like to see a comeback of Laser weapons, the scrambler rifle is epic but there was something about using a beam weapon than juts made me weak in the knees. |

I really dont like Amarr. But kitten its fun busting out a laser. I am actually willing to skill into the Amarr Assault+Laser for it if I could at least go 50/50 with it. |

My humble opinion on what it would take to fix laser:
1) Restore ADS to its style in Chromosome
2) Reduce the minimum range of laser rifles, or just eliminate it
#1 because the new ADS is just...  . #2 because otherwise Scrambler Rifle is still better in every conceivable way. |
