Another thing to bring up would be to lower each team by one to have a 15 v 15.
Still have the 16th players on each team, but utilize those two that have recording and streaming capabilities (in a private chat, and squadless so no intel can be given), have them fly around in a dropship for a spectator stance on the battle.
If one corporation is actually using dropships in the game: the two streamers could find a spot on the map with a sniper or a similar location to stream from.
Seeing how there isn't a spectator mode yet, this could be utilized to attract a more profound crowd, and to authorize the standings in every match held. |

The way I understand it you are attacking back and forth not to capture. It would be a round robin type deal. Your just working within the current mechanics to make it possible.
If someone attacks the planet from outside the group they have a big bullseye painted on their chest. They might as well just announce they are quitting PC. They'd get crushed. Think about someone not a UN country blowing up the UN headquarters. |

In my idea, the winner of the round would get the loser's district (the loser would sell any remaining clones and the winner would just attack with a small force to claim). This means that there is some benefit to getting further in the tournament as you get to sell off more and more clones as it progresses.
The hubs can also serve as some sort of prize. A 'hall of champions' or such.
The idea is to have some fun until (if ever) CCP decides to make a grown up version of this game.
We can do a ton of different game styles.
Standard Round Robin Musical Districts - Described before Tug Of War - This would be for possibly Alliances. Each side holds 4 districts of 4 different Corps. You have to attack in order and the attacking district has to touch the other. This would put some strategy in who you put as your first corp. |

Nikia we are planning for the future here. In another couple of weeks no one will want to play in PC but will all want to be able to have battles on occasion

I like this idea. It would be useful from a wide variety of perspectives such as entertainment, education and confirmation for gambling. Does the aerial assualt pack come with a wierd colored dropship? It could become a sort of "don't shoot me, I'm the broadcast blimp" thing.

Also havn't talked to anyone from ROFL at this time so you nerds should come play too I donGÇÖt make PC decisions for DUST University. Those responsibilities fall to a few other directors and to our CEO.
I can say that when Kain Spero originally approached us, his message lacked some of the context that has since come out on the forum regarding what you folks are trying to do. We declined his initial offer to sell us districts. However, what you are proposing for Oddelulf sounds very interesting, and is in line with what DUST University wants to do with PC.
I expect that we will be interested in participating, but I can only speculate, as that is not my department. |

Prepare to be disappointed with battles with SI. They are the only corp in PC we get so much lag it's unplayable.
I guess it's the EU servers, but our matches with WTF were fine.
I've heard them complain about it too. If all their matches are that bad I'd be quitting too.

It's freakin terrible If it's a cross-regional lag issue, then it could just be understood that corps fight other corps within their same region.
NA fights NA EU fights EU Asia fights Asia
Of course this is presuming the lag/frame-drops come from the cross-regional issues (as you said WTF fights weren't as bad). Ultimately if two corps from different regions want to fight each other and find out that lag doesn't happen in their fights or simply decide they don't care about lag, then they'd be welcome to fight each other. |

Seeing how cross region lag can cause a concern to certain corporations participating. We may have to numb down the practicality of this event.
I agree with having alike servers take each other on: seeing how there isn't a valid way to pick a potential host. This is going to be bad with lag, that's for sure. Seeing how in order for this to actually take place: districts on Oddelulf would have to be put up but don't think Cronos. would be to happy to rid their planet of districts.
Seeing how we haven't gotten a response from Asian server corps at this time: would it be beneficial to divide a planet in half for NA and EU servers?
- if Oddelulf had 24 districts on it: and even if Cronos was managed to be off of the land, we could then split the planet in half to twelve districts for both servers. Have 3 ranks or tiers if you will: ranked according to game play of the corporations. Have three ladders in the fashion similar to a weight class. - - Have bigger corps duke it out: have mid prestiged corps duke it out and then smaller corps duke it out. Once one is claimed a champion. Give the champions the ability to move up in class and thus kick a corp down to the lower ladder. For the 'veteran' corps if you will: not sure what we could do for their proclaimed champions... but just giving the topic a revamp *update*.

25 days of income on a district that LoI/EoN/NF have agreed not to take over. Seems like a reasonable deal to any small Corps looking for land that will safe from being devoured by alliance Corps. |
