Think about it. At the moment all you get are advantages for each type of racial suit. Surely there would be disadvantages to many?
For example: Amarr Heavies have a 5% decrease in speed and a 10% jumping disadvantage. (Theoretical) Minimatar Heavies have a 8% increased vunerability to grenades and a 3% increase on all armor or shield module PG uses.
Such a device would increase immersion and increase tactics as you tailor gameplay to combat opponents weaknesses

Those disadvantages are already effectively built in due to the nature of the base stats and how that affects performance of the suit. Amarr heavies already have low sprint and movement speed which in turn yields a lower jump. |

This is already done on a mass scale. Amarr heavies are low and weak to explosives usually, so people use explosive weapons to take them out. Caldari suits are mostly shields, so people use flux grenades to deal with them. These sort of tactics are already discussed and planned for in corp meetings and fitting sessions. If your corp ISN'T doing this sort of thing with you, then they need to start. |

I'm just throwing out ideas to more specific losses not just built in ones. If you skill this it will have downsides kinda things. |

Traditionally skills in EVE never have downsides. Some modules, namely Rigs, will some disadvantages associated with them. However it should ALWAYS be a good idea to skill something up, one should not be discouraged from spending SP because it will actually make them weaker. |

I do see your point here, but discouraging from spending SP isn't what i was aiming for just some small disadvantages that vary from suit to suit. |

Well there are disadvantages from suit to suit already, like Minmatar have low health, or the Amarr have low speed. They're in there, it's just not spelled out in writing. |

Disadvantages are built into the structure and enforced via module slot layout. |

Pokey Dravon and ExAstra summed it up nicely - it's not a described 'per level' weakness for the dropsuits, it's built into the dropsuits themselves. |

Feedback and suggestions are always appreciated! Just as long as you don't get butthurt when people don't agree (Which seems to be the norm on these forums) |
