Been playing around with a test Swarm/Flaylock alternate character and been really liking the different type of action from the usual AR gunplay. Question I have is on my main should I take full points into Swarm or Flaylock first and what Dropsuit should I focus on? Eventually I want to max out the Swarm, Flaylock, Suit, and then move into a vehicle myself a ways down the road. Anyone have any suggestions? |

I recommend Minmatar Assault. The suit skill gives you 5% sidearm clip size per level. Should give you 4 shots instead of 3. The suit also has 5 high slots at proto level, which you can use to equip 3 damage mods (supposedly after the third is not worth another) and some shield extenders or w/e you want. The suit is also the fastest mediuk suit, good for dodging LAVs and running away from tanks.
I recommend you get the ADV Minmatar Assault ASAP. Then get proto damage mods and equip 3 on the highs. Then get the ADV specialist Flaylock which has low CPU/PG cost for big damage. Finally start leveling up for the proto swarm. Equip CPU upgrade on the lows as needed. |

I would say hell yea to the Proto Swarms!!! I just love mine....but yes do the Flaylock first you will get more use of it. Swarms are only good for vehicles and installations. |

You generally want to work on your survivability before working on anything else. Since the SL is a long ranged weapon, your survivability would come from everything else, ie. your dropsuit, modules, and sidearm.
That's probably why you would want to level Swarm Launchers last. |

You have already found my guide, so I will not bother linking it. You make sure your sidearm will work as a primary weapon first, because the Swarm Launcher canGÇÖt be used against Infantry unless you bash them over the head with it.
While you are working on the rest of your fit, you can still get plenty of Militia LAV and Turret kills with the Basic Swarm Launcher. Actually Turret and vehicles kills show up as Assists unless there is someone in them, but 100 WP for taking out a Turret is good, even if it only registers as an assist, and once in a while you will find a manned turret. |

Remember, to spend sum SP into either Flux grenades (for Shield tanks and Caldari infantry) or AV grenades.
Unfortunately, Flux grenades do not affect vehicles as much as they used to. Though, they can still be used against infantry. Which, since you are using the flaylock, will lead to you doing 110% against armor, versus the 90% damage you do on shields. |

Actually the Flaylock only has 70% efficiency to shields, and 104% shield headshot, I've tested in game. Making Flux grenades all that more important. I don't have the exact numbers for armor efficiency as it's difficult to look for in combat and I haven't had the chance to have a squad mate Flux himself so I can check it. I mean no offense but obviously you were guessing when posting those numbers. If anything it's probably 130% to armor which would be in line with confirmed efficiency ratings on other explosive damage type weapons such as the swarm, mass driver and locus grenades. |

I personally wouldn't run flaylock with AV- it's more of a backup weapon. Throw a ton of points into scrambler pistols, and any infantry that try to kill you will be sorry. |
