It's called Flux Grenades + HMG.

Caldari Logis have so far seemed pretty squishy to me.

(Yes, I understand the complaint behind lopsided racial bonuses...)

So what about the Caldari assault?
 Or Caldari medium frame?

Also, why do I need to switch up my grenades just to counter a suit that is practically better than any other suit in the game?

 Equally squishy.

Honestly, I switched up my grenades because I noticed a whole ton of people from all walks of life shield tanking. Helps me mow 'em down easier. Give it a shot, I honestly think you'd like it.

But all that aside, I totally understand why Caldari Assaults are miffed. The Logi does their job better than they do. I'd change the Squid Logi bonus to make the Squid Assault more relevant, not because it affects my Heavy in any meaningful way.

 Yeah, yeah....

The Cal Logi doesn't have a sidearm, making the Cal Logi worse than the assault for the assaults intended role.

 - No sidearm means that if you equip a swarm launcher for long range AV engagements then you are suddenly defenseless, in effect it means no long range AV option for the logi.
 - No sidearm means no option to swith to an SMG for that last blow. If we have to reload, then we have to reload or throw a grenade, there are no other options.

And then some people want to remove the light weapon slot all together on the logi suits. Not just the Cal Logi suit, but ALL logi suits. I mean, what the f...? But I guess I should never underestimate stupidity, even when it's the blinding kind of stupidity that doesn't make you see the logic even when it's standing right in front of you.

Sollution to the Cal Logi, remove a high slot.
Sollution to the rest of the Logis, nothing. Don't touch them!

And if you have trouble killing the Cal Logis then seriously HTFU. I'm a scrub and even I can kill them :p

 Its not that they're hard.
Its that they're harder for no reason.

People would rather complain than use Flux Grenades, simple as that. Never mind that the large majority of suits in use are shield tanked and that landing a flux on them makes them all nice and squishy.

 Any explosive.
The difference being that flux bring you shields down.
 Explosives outright kill you.
Ever saw an assault with three complex plates and a complex armor rep die in a single hit by a mass driver/flaylock/grenade?
 I have.

Well I got my suit up to 1135 HP if I remember correctly, that was with 5 shield extenders and 4 enhanced plates.

 - I used 3 compact hives, fused nades and a Duvolle

It is however not a viable option for that suit IMO. It got old really fast....

Replace all of those plates with a single armor rep, kinetic catalyzers, cpu/pg enhancements as needed and shield regs.
 You become an unbeatable mofo.

Kinetic catalizers are overrated PG eaters. Just stick to double reps and regulators.

I have absolutely no problems with gatting people in the back. I prefer it when they run.
