Not me, I think it's brilliant and necessary. I just haven't seen anyone able to defend free LAV yet. |

With this logic we can go as far as to say there is no point in free starter drop suit fittings. |

If they replaced those with 500 each of those fits to burn through when you start the game, I'd be cool with that. |

just because you get run down doesent mean they should not be in the game, haha.
Wheneveer I hear the whine of the engine, I take cover. I do become roadkill but when I respwn it is with a swarm launcher, then it is my mission to kill them, and more often than not, I do. |

Removing free LAVs won't solve the problem, the problem is the unrealistically and annoyingly low amount of speed needed to roadkill someone. Logistics LAVs being used as murder taxis are definitely not free, yet they're still a problem.
Just like infantry needs free starter fits as a starting point, so too do vehicle users, vehicles are just as much a part of this game as infantry, so its only fair that vehicle users get at least one vehicle starter fit. Skirmish maps are very large, and basically necessitate the use of LAVs for traversal, and its unreasonable to expect new players to already be familiar with the market to purchase LAVs themselves, just like it would be unreasonable to expect new players to buy their infantry gear to make their fits from scratch.
So yeah, I think removing free LAVs is a bad idea. |

How many times have you seen someone driving a starter fit LAV for any reason other than free transport and running people over? |

Would teach players of the finite nature of items in Dust. |

Its not a matter of removing the lav, but perhaps giving it a limited power source, speaking off the free lav that is. |

We don't need free bonus. |

I agree, but the LAV is not the problem, we have had free LAV's for as long as I have been playing. To be honest it was the generic ACROSS the board buff quick fix that ALL vehicles recieved. |

Sure the free LAV isn't the sole problem (there never is one source to any problem), but we still don't need to be giving away free LAVs to everyone. If you want one so bad go buy some cheap militia ones. |

I never saw a free LAV problem before the buff, and that should speak volume of what the problem truly is. Back in the day you would beg free LAV's to cross your path. Being as weak as they was, and by all rights should be, most people did not waste their time even calling them in....
I really believe for some reason the way the buff happened, that they are not able to buff one type of LAV without buffing them all, or they would have fixed this MISTAKE by now. |
