So I haven't been around the forums for a while, too busy pondering on the meaning of life, chasing girls, and subsequently masturbating. The three in combination are quite complimentary.
But i'm not here to shine wisdom on failing in real life, I'm here to share a bit of knowledge on Dust 514, and the secret to SyNergy's mediocrity (until May i was on hiatus for 3-4 months, so naturally i was quite unpleasantly surprised when i got back and found people acting like SyN were decent... didnt take long for me to set an example for the rest)
Dust 514 skirmish games, as we all know, rotate around the MCC... MCC blows up, your ******; MCC decides to glitch out of the game, your probably ****** again; Clones die out before MCC, we'll call it a small victory.
So i suggest every corporation/alliance follow SyNergy's route, make sure your players know their MCC!
As leaders/officers, you should take time to fill up a game with your players (FW q-syncing) and just spend it observing the MCC. Get into scout/sniper fits so you can maneuver around the ship in a speedy manner, every squad should be headed by a leader who will then go through the ropes in not only giving a tour of the MCC, but also showing off good positions to stand in, proper MCC etiquette (If someones sniping, never jump down, thats just ******* up their aim, have respect), and of course, actual sniping out of the MCC.
Any MCC defending squad should consist of 2 heavies with forge guns, 3 snipers and a logi. You do not want that MCC to blow up, and to ensure this will not happen, you should always have a squad in there prepared to defend it to the last man. SyNergy places so much importance on MCC protection, that under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should an MCC squad, or individuals in that squad, rotate out to support any points under pressure. The MCC is just too important to risk.
Mavado even has an auto-boot rule in place on any sniper that steps outside of the MCC, hell, you want to get into our leaders head and make him rage, plant a sniper in our corp and make him do things like being off the MCC and calling out rush's/tanks, covering points, and just being useful in general, no better way to **** him off.
"If they are being useful, why is it bad?" you ask?
Well, snipers are notorious showboaters, and were about team-play at SyNergy, a good team-orientated sniper always had a negative k/d, and personally i believe we have the best of them. Our snipers manage negative k/ds even when camping the MCC, now if that doesn't show devotion then you're probably some backwater pig corp-hopper who thinks about him/herself.
Additionally, i don't know how it is with other corps/alliances, but since SyNergies experience is largely behind the redline, its good to know what positions to take up in the MCC when our opponents begin their final assault. We've become quite skilled at holding the redline, so much so, that opponents never manage to cross the redline for more then 10 seconds or so, some even die of exhaustion because we push them so hard (good feature CCP).
One time in a PC match we even had our entire team of 16 in the MCC, holding off hordes of zerglings below. It was going really well until i accidentely detonated my remote explosives (set them around MCC opening incase of a breach) but hey i got us the clone depletion so the MCC survived in the end, thats what matters.
Anyways i hope my advice comes in handy, people don't realize that the letter'd points are secondary objectives, gotta protect that MCC first and foremost.

Boredum doesnt take kindly to your words, neither does procrastination... you should hear them **** talking you on my end, not pretty things thats all i'll say.
I'll also have you know Rhap, that forum posting is an essential part of diplomacy. It is on the forums where you know your true friends and enemies... i guess i now know where you stand.
I hereby declare war on Rhaps! If he dares enter a PC match with me, i shall clone him, and take down his MCC. |

You forgot to mention taking a dropship up to the top of the mcc so you can use your repair gun to fix any hull breaches. |

Great addition, its also the only way to infiltrate an MCC.
I'll make sure to set up MCC breach practice at some point, stock up on your dropships. |
