What is the difference between role specific suits like a Gallente Assault G-1 to basic Gallente Medium Frame G-1? I'v heard they have "role bonuses" but I can't for the life of me find what the bonuses are in the game.
Also, I trained "Gallente Medium Dropsuits" to lvl 5 and finally got to the basic Prototype Gallente Medium Frame gk.0 and now I have to go down the staircase just to start climbing it again to train "Gallente Assault Dropsuits" to reach the Gallente Assault gk.0 suit once more. Is it even worth it? isn't the Medium Frame gk.0 good enough or do these so-called bonuses make up for all the training? |

you can find the bonus by going to skill tree and looking at info for assault and logistics, it tells the bonus it has.
You dont even need medium 5 to access logistics or assault minimum of level 3 required.
Theres like a 10k isk difference in price of specialized.
Tbh i wouldnt bother with it myself, i went logi anyway. |

Couple of things, you only need 3 levels in a suit to get the role specific suits. Also, the role suits are cheaper.
And overall, it depends on your needs. The Gallente assault gets a 5 percent reduction to CPU/PG usage of hybrid weapons per level. They also get the same shield recharge bonus all other assault suits get, but its less useful for Gallente.
So if your not going to use hybrid weapons, or don't mind the slightly higher cost of basic frames then dont bother upgrading.
I'd say say hold off for now, at least till your a little more sure of the path you wanna take.
Oh, and we will be getting more bonuses to suits in the future, I jjust don't know when or what. |

The Gallente assault specialisation probably isn't worth it. Anyone who can find a way to make a Gallente suit benefit from that shield recharge is either a genius or an idiot. Meanwhile the CPU/PG bonus only applies to some weapons, and may not even make a worthwhile difference without getting proto weapons to go with it. |
