For the past couple months, been getting disconnected from dust servers every other match. Recently switched to HDMI and now im getting disconnected from the playstation network. I have tried EVERYTHING! New router, complete ps3 reformat, tried numerous DNS servers, different resolutions, all dust servers. The disconnection ALWAYS happens right after some some glitch. I contacted CCP and they told me to contact sony.........go figure. I have NEVER been booted playing any other online game or online content. I have one of the highest internet speeds in the country. Numerous other people are having the same problem. CCP needs to address. |

I can't speak for any of the other stuff you've mentioned or what your problem might be but I can safely say that using HDMI is completely irrelevant as that has absolutely nothing to do with connection stuff whatsoever. |

I'm wondering if the glitch might be a symptom of the disconnection and not the cause?
Also, in some dev notes somewhere I saw a mention of memory leaks. If there are issues of this sort you never know if something might corrupt communications once in a while. Are you using KB/M or do you have other accessories on your console that not everyone else would use? |

Got DC'd yesterday, as did quite a few people, and got a PSN disconnect today after a few games. Hopefully not a sign of things to come. However, I do believe that the tranquility server is suffering some form of instability.
All I can suggest is:
If you know someone who has a ps3 on a different Internet service and network then try playing Dust 514 on their machine. If you have the same problem then maybe something in the data CCP holds on you and your toons may be at fault.
If you find that it does not happen then the problem could be your Internet provider or CCP. So the next step is to use your friends ps3 but use your Internet provider both at your place and at another place. If it works at another place but not your place then that may indicate a problem with your Internet connection via your Internet provider.
If everything runs smoothly at your place but with a different ps3 then there is a problem with your machine. |

I have NEVER been booted playing black ops 2. MATTER of fact, i have only been booted from dust. The PSN disconnect started yesterday for the first time. I am really starting to believe the PS3 can't handle all this dust. Im just wondering if this is all part of sony's plan to sell more ps4's. Can't wait to try that baby out. $349 |

What exactly have you done?
Did you ask your ISP to test your line from their head-end? Did you verify that they have the correct numbers/information for your system, like did you give them your PC's MAC Address or your Routers MAC Address - or did you clone your PC MAC Address to your Router? Did they dispatch a service call and send a tech to check your drop line, the wire from the telephone pole to the House or Apt? (Squirrels like to damage them along with storms) Do you have Old (wires) coaxial cable connections, did you or they try switching the splitters out?
How about your PC set-up? How many networks do you have in your Network and Connections menu's? Have you tried CCP's port forwarding suggestions? FYI don't follow them exactly as they tell you to turn off Upnp, which causes a higher failure rate for the psn/sen. I would suggest that you go over to the psn forums and look over the network and connection faq that has been kicking around over there for years about internet connection problems.
Have you explored the options of putting your modem & router into bridged mode. |

Its like this..... if your connection to PSN dips.... you get booted. CCP claims its your fault for not having 100% internet connection to PSN, but in reality all they have to do is have a "player refresh" every couple of minutes. Or just a check to see if the player is still connected to PSN. I don't understand why we cant just be connected to the tranquility server...... |

Dust is unpredictable the problem could be on their side not yours so stop trying to fix their problem. And I see you in local a lot lol surprised your not always on the forums. |

This would be a very logical answer, and it is except for one flaw...I only get disconnected from PSN while playing Dust, no other games.
I believe that I did not start having this problem until the East coast America servers was messed up about 2 months ago. |
