That was earlier before the servers downtime. After the downtime the glitch got worst.

Just got this, right after logging in - permanent load screen for a Skirmish match. It was a "fresh start" (first match), and I had voice chat off and just corp an alliance chat (the default) going on the side.
I just turned off the PS3, don't feel like dealing with this sort of thing right now. |

Are all of you from all over the world. Do you have the stock HDD in your device?
I had to check some things out, but I am getting slightly better results having deleted dust again. (ran safe mode as per usual Sony support recommendations after delete and before re-install, also turned off my ps3 for 5 after delete, probably because I am used to my pc rebooting any time I add a new system file.) ** make sure you don't make a mistake in safe mode as you can delete your entire ps3. After reinstall I also made sure to go into the Ps3 web browser and delete the cache.
My theory is as follows, the templar event data is floating around mucking things up, much like the crashed titan and old builds of dust left behind did to my game back during that period of the beta.
Don't get me wrong, I am sure it was just a question of luck that my game hasn't frozen upon re-installing yet.
2808mb install file before 2770mb after... so i guess that extra 38mb's is useless? |

...slightly better? I dunno, the download on Dust always seems slow that I'm reluctant to do a delete and reinstall when every these things come up. I'm also not familiar with using safe mode as a deleting things practice - not sure how or what it's supposed to accomplish from a function standpoint. |

I've been on the game for a few weeks now. This issue of being 'left behind' in the headquarters while the rest of my squad apparently makes it into battle, happens almost every time I join a squad. This morning was actually a combination of this happening, and then just getting stuck on the loading screen while trying to enter battle. Like a previous poster said, I paid real money for boosters, and it is a shame that I feel it a waste since most of my time is spent trying to get the game to behave in a playable fashion. |

This is a situation like the first batman movie with micheal keaton, you can't use toothpaste will using hairspray and deodorant type of thing....because the joker engineered a poison to work in each of them seperately but when combined prove deadly.
The dust download took 28 minutes, in the middle of my latest download attempt from the download section of my account management my ps3 signed me out of the psn saying it was the 800? (i just don't remember the 4th number right now) A548; but I think it is the DNS error code. I thought I was doomed to corruption and further frustration. The download completed even though I was not signed in anymore, I signed in and launched dust, it syncronized at the normal screen and took the 2758mb size file and turned it into 2770... I didn't have to download the other 1.33GiB as it listed next to the player totals and the X to proceed button.
I got to know safe mode really well, when I got Armored Core 5 on release day. It had a known issue with players using non-stock HDD and specifically hybrids like the one I have in my ps3; the result was that the in-game music was missing half the time along with ambient noises like helicopter blades not making the whosh whosh noise and some other things (it has been a while so my memory is fuzzy).
Armored Core 5 has something I have seldom seen from other game manufacturers a Live Help Chat, where you can talk directly to them. So I did, and they told me this :
Namco : Do you have a Solid State Hard drive installed on your system?
Me: I have a hybrid ssd, Momentus XT 500GB 32mb cache it says 4gb on the box next to the hybrid
Namco: That would be the problem there. The sound issue you're experiencing is due to the SSD hard drive on your Playstation 3 system. The game uses both the hard drive and the disc itself to play the music in-game. Armored Core V does not support the use of solid state hard drives as they game was not developed or tested with use with these hard drives and that is why you're not hearing most of the audio.
I got the audio to work without putting my stock HDD back in, I would have to do a fresh install after using safe mode to completely remove all traces of the game being in my ps3. I would suggest you go over to the sony forums and tech support section about safe mode and when to use it, or call them up during business hours and have them walk you thru it. |

Well, I have the stock HDD, so I don't think that's an issue on my end.
On topic, I just got this bug again. I have no interest in wasting my time every time I log in. I already connected directly to my cable modem - no firewall, no weird routing, just straight connection. My connection is superb. It's just Dust. |

Pencil me in for this too.
Thing is, we'll squad up in corp, 4 will make it in, 2 are on the perma-load screen. Have started calling it the swirly ring of death. Can still chat on voice, hell.. can hear the battle raging over someones sensitive mic/loud TV. Last nite it hit 3 times in a row. Pulled the plug after that.
Mostly skirmish, but happens on other modes too. Starting to bring bad memories of 1st gen 360's to mind...

I'm a little disappointed we've had no word from CCP on this, the thread is four bloody pages long. |
