Isnt buying them just as ubiquitous?
Doesnt matter the sp req they are pay to win.
2+mill sp for fused? Idiots would skill into them, so just buy em.

They also have less than half the range of the tossable easy button you buy with AUR and don't have to spend over 1 million SP to unlock. |

It's not pay to win if you can earn the item for free. It's pay to advance. Kids and their jacked up misinterpretation of terminology. |

That rationalization only works if there's like a minor level difference between the ISK and AUR versions and they share near identical specs.
You need level 5 Grenadier to use the ISK version while the AUR version doesn't even require the first level.
Then you have the fact that the blast radius of the ISK version is a paltry 2.5 meters while the AUR version has a 6 meter radius.

Exactly. The aur version needs to be Adv level, with identical stats. |

All contact grenades should be removed.
It's already possible to toss a grenade that explodes at the target, you learn how to cook grenades and stop expecting an easy kill button. |

I'm sorry. I spent all my sp on my core skills, to achieve this close to god suit, you see before you. So to compensate for my blind mistake, I went ahead and brought 400 fused nades. So don't worry about me lads. I'm cool.

Stop skipping English class, kid. You need it.
And the only AUR items I've ever bought have been skill boosters.

The only time I've ever felt I was unfairly bested was if my client crashed or I was dropped in lag. No item has ever made me feel like I was being beaten by an Aurum-user...in fact, I salvaged a ton of little aurum trinkets in PC.
To recall, even with the use of the high-end gear, it was tactics and teamwork that lost matches...hardly the gear we or they used. It has always been how they use them. Pay-to-Win implies both a "win" and an obstacle to overcome by cash to achieve said, win. Both of which are rather ambiguous in this game as victory is up to you really (you're getting paid either way). Saying "we need better incentives to seperate the top players from the bottom players" is a fair statement. "Better areas for training" or "Greater rewards for further risks and more flexibility in the ability to make money in Dust 514" are also just as understandable....
But droning on about every item that kills a clone as 'pay-to-win' or OP is a poor excuse for a lack of imagination or skill. Aurum is encouraged heavily because it is one of the few major features CCP can make any money off of. "OP" items, while possibly needing a tweak in numbers when fully considered, are almost always "OP" because someone else has imagination or skill and understands how to play games my friends,
Adapt and Overcome Gentlemen,
