mhh i see like 7k peak user count for DUST atm, so why would u invest any resources/money to get maybe 100 more players with a PS4 version?
The only reasons to develop for a new console at launch are very cheap porting/publishing cost or u get paid to-do so. So given that PS2 is a "Sony Entertainment" product, its only logical that they push any title to PS4 they have direct control over.
Dust like most titles will make it to PS4/Xbox One, if the install base is a little bigger, given the relatively cheap costs for porting now. Thats mainly because the new consoles are much more easy to develop for, so there are no real resource/hardware restrictions to not get any AAA game on PC/Xbox/PS4, given u don't explicitly need mouse control or have special network/server requirements like DUST does.
So i don't see any reason to port now, until Sony pays CCP for it, but good chances later on. |

That is an active worry. As I would jump ship to planetside I still think nothing has beaten the oringal. Dust was saved by being on a diffrent system but it won't stand up to this. I know a number of player groups here will find a plantside A lot more enjoyable.
As this trailer on the same day as yet another Shanghai holiday. I normally don't complain. But how many weeks off ti us and Iceland offices take |

For those ex maggots, I believe PS2 has been what they have been craving since the death of mag.
Yes dust does have serious competition this winter, regardless of what the fanbois say about PS2. |

Ummm i'm confused is Dust or PS2 the laggy reptitive game? because dust gets quite laggy and a bit reptitive last i checked....but i stoll love dust! |

Ummm, I have never played PS2 as I don't have a pc but I will probably give it a go when I get around to buying a PS4 since it will be a F2P. Of course when I get a PS4 will depend on price point. If it is anything like the intro of the PS3 I figure it could be a while. |

My experience playing Planetside 2:
Day 1: OMFG THIS IS FREAKING AMAZING.... ::PLAYS FOR 7 HOURS::
Day 2: GUYS...HAVE YOU PLAYED PS2 YET?? IT'S AMAZING..... ::plays for 5 hours::
Day 3: Hmmm....everything I fought for yesterday was lost...wtf blue dots? ::Plays for 3 hours::
Day 4: Ok wtf....now my team owns the entire map and we're just redlining an uncapturable base? wtf? Whatever... ::plays for 90 minutes::
Day 5: Ok wtf gun was that that just killed me in one shot.....oh i see......wait....you have to obtain 850 XP for it? And you get like....1 XP per hour?!?!?!? But you can PAY $20 and get 1000 XP?!?!?!?! **** this game.

Oh yeah! Also wanted to say this, Dust 514 does not rule, its actually horrible. I have never played a game with worse controls than Dust 514 in my entire life. Dust 514 makes Earth Defense Forces 2017 vehicle controls feel like ridge racer.....the FPS mechanics are an atrocity to the genre. I mostly stop by these forums every now an then in the hopes that they'll get off their asses and patch this game but it seems like they don't have so much as a basic road map or communication with their tiny playerbase. :( So much potential, being pissed away. |

I read (somewhere, I can't remember where) that the Price point for the PS4 at launch was going to be $429 for the basic version, and $529 for the upgrade version (larger HDD, various bundle packages)
This is MSRP of course, and some retailers will be offering discounts/specials.
I can't say what the XboxOne will sell for, but the $400 - $500 range sounds about right |

If Sony is smart they will launch at the $350 price point which will basically be the last nail in the Xbox 1 as a viable alternative console. Based on the current info the Xbox 1 looks like it will be DOA (I mean yea who is going to buy a console that charges you money to play a used/rented video game).
