I have run as a logistics since I joined closed beta in the fall. I have had an injector on every single fitting up until now. I have been a dedicated medic such that I carried and used the repair tool even when it gave no points.
The nanite injector is so broken that I feel like it is a waste to carry even on a proto minmatar suit with 4 equipment slots. I have seen less and less players carrying them in matches so I assume I am not alone here. This makes me sad as I very much enjoyed using that tool.
I think there are a number of reasons that they have lost their appeal:
1. More people are getting overkilled (corpse destroyed on or shortly after death). High damage weapons like TARs and player awareness of the feature has probably played a part here.
2. Buggy behavior of the tool itself and corpse location has been making revival impossible or difficult in most situations. I feel like if I am at a fresh corpse I have a 1 in 5 chance of actually reviving the person.
3. Bugged injectors mean that no one expects others to try and revive them so they don't bother waiting. This creates a negative feedback loop between medics and fallen players. Both have become increasingly pessimistic of the situation. |

the bugs are with a miscommunication between sever and client on a rather wide scale. the bugt isnt the injector, its the ragdoll/revive box, they end up in different places about 90% of the time. and CCP has already said they are hard at work fixing those issues. preferrably they could just use kill animations so the rag doll issues dont persist like this |

I recall the sync issues between the server being to blame, but I figure they can just nix the ragdoll. I'd rather have a working revive mechanic than ragdoll physics on bodies (not like it comes up for anything else). |

As others have said there are some known bugs at work here and CCP is working on them as we speak. That being said when fixed I believe the "target area" could use a slight expansion to smooth functionality.

EDIT: None of the above addresses your point #1 however. The increased rate of overkill in Uprising is very apparent and all bugs aside has decreased the functional value of the Injector. I'd love to hear some feedback from CCP regarding this issue. |

I Agree With Above, I put the Nanite Injector In my Equipment Slot All the time. It Just Takes to Long to Find Where to Stab. Make the NI like back in Chrome. It was Useable for those with out the Patience of Yoda then |

I have a Logi fit I use from time to time, and haven't had -too- much problem with the Injector. It seems the problem is that the "sweet spot" for it to actually work isn't the body, like you'd expect, but only the leg. Perhaps because you're "supposed to be" sticking them in the femoral artery. More likely because their hitbox overlapping with yours when they stand up could be a Very Bad Thing. |

It would be better to just move away from stabbing corpses with a needle 20th century style. I've proposed using a beam regenerator in another thread, that would allow the medic to stand a bit further away from the corpse (bigger radius) for the revive. Might help solve the hitboxing issues.
Also, most players don't bother to "Call for Help", they just respawn in a new clone. Saves time. It would be better if "Call for Help" was issued automatically on death and the icon appears on the medic's screen right away. Also, revives should be possible even during the respawn countdown. That would give the medic a bit more time to do their job. |

An easy fix would be to chuck the injector away and replace it with MAG style wider area spray....
Hell just recolour the repper and make rainbows fly out of it.
Imo would be a quick fix to a trick problem |

I have only started using them again when everyone started saying they were buggy. Often I am the only merc on the field with one and I gotta say, it doesn't make sense, other than the fact that it has issues finding people on stairs or otherwise oddly angled terrain. The ability to pick the person up is still there though if you find someone on the bottom of the stairs go for a walk up the stairs. What CCP should do to fix them is to sync the revive to the ragdoll. If the player can't hit the ragdoll to revive it then the mechanic is broken. One caveat to this, if CCP wants something slightly easier, if someone injects the groud within a corpse's distance from the corpse it gets up and starts killing again. |

If I am out of ammo/equipment I don't want some random noob off comms to come pick my sorry butt up off the ground, I want fresh gear and maybe to change the fitting. The issue is with people not being able to find the point of death where the needle works. |

even when you find the point there are issues. Many times I will stand at the location where it says "push O to revive" and either nothing happens or the stab animation happens but the player is not revived. Also, the revive area is so small it is easy to tap the stick in the right direction and pass over it. I know exactly where I need to be but I can seem to make my character stop in that position.
Regardless of why it doesn't work well, the main thing I wanted to express is that a critical piece of equipment in the game is no longer being used and that CCP needs to speak up and let us know what they are doing to fix that. |

They have been replaced by my sexy new R9 uplinks. I glance at my injectors every evening when I'm watching Seinfeld in my merc quarters, unwinding from a long day of poor mass driver hit detection. I have fond memories of finishing off the last two red dots, and reviving four of my teammates. Ahhh, memories... |

run around where the body is and spam the button to revive it works for me all the time. and the ragdoll is abit much. the only ragdoll should if you die while your running or getting blow up. other then that the should just fall down |

I humbly suggest throwable nanite injectors.
On a serious note, though, I carry one and spam by the body like Destroyer416 just said, and I usually try to run around wherever they got shot if I saw them go down. It works for me probably 75% of the time, but more often than not they just respawn before I get to them. |
