Either that or allow us to shove bluedots for 0 damage though a few meters of momentum in the direction you shove them.
I actually prefer the shoving idea. |

Ooh, spawn killing teammates in the MCC, how fun. Also, this wouldn't work. They'd hide on the ground instead. |

I see where you're coming from, but as an absolute FPS n00b I ended many fights without wp. Doesn't happen a lot anymore, but still, 'no wp' is a bit too bare bones for me. Ideally we'd need something that measures effort as well as actual results (wp), as to not to discourage n00bs like myself too much. |

I see it as showing up on the job site and doing absolutely nothing, then getting in line for your paycheck. I think the NPC corps that hire us in instant battle should blacklist absentee mercs too, so active players aren't saddled with idlers. It's good mechanics and works with the lore.
Let the academy newbies get their ISK/SP regardless of their WP count, but that should end when you graduate. |

i like the shoving idea, because if they hid on the ground, you can shove them out of red line. and the comedy of people pushing eachoter around for fun would be worth seeing |

I like it too, it's a great idea and could go further. Imagine shoving a blueberry under cover into the open to see if it's safe to cross a street or something. New Eden, HTFU, etc. |

hah, or a group is arguing on their squad channel, and you want one of them to move, so give a solid shove into the open, and let the hell fly. or in my case it could be used for survival, because i can shove bluedots out of the way before i fire my MD. would be more than useful then.
also, i want them to bring back the land on damage. a closed beta player in my corp said that if you land on someone it killed them.... that would give a hell of a lot of use to scouts again, land on red dot, then knifeknifeknife |

+1 for shoving. It'd be a good, nonlethal way to deal with blues who stand in doorways, get in the way when I'm shooting, etc. |

I say turn enemy red zones into friendly yellow zones. As long as there is no change to your controller, (standing stil, or walking into a corner) you have a timer to move or die. Perhaps 30 seconds |

I think you guys are onto something here....perhaps they should just punish inactive players. I like the idea of no WP or ISK. That way the newbie noobs can still earn something because at least they tried.

I think if our SP wasn't 5 for every second in a match this wouldn't be as much of an issue. |

DigiOps wrote:I see the AFK farming as a symptom with the illness being the way SP is gained. Five for every second in a match with one for every warpoint. That sounds like a broken system that rewards doing nothing. Why isn't that ever the target?
Because, like cutting in line is a symptom of a long line, it's still duchebaggery to do it. |
