Completely new to this, and just wondering how a corporation would go about setting up a district? I know it isn't something to be done quickly or easily, but just wanted to know the steps required for a corporation to takeover or establish a district.
I also realize holding onto it would be an entirely different topic, but I have yet to see anything explaining how this is to be accomplished. Since there are several districts being fought over currently, I know there is a way......I just have no idea what that is.
If I missed a thread explaining this, sorry. Please explain this as if I'm a 5-yr-old since I may need to make someone a ceo, reach certain size, or something else before it would work and you might take it for granted I knew it. |

Since this got quite a few views and no answers, I'm guessing the answer is either so simple (buy a dropship and fly it there), or several people were wondering the same thing. Either way, I don't mean to bump my own thread, just figured it shouldn't be that hard to answer one way or the other.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. |

You need to pay 80 million isk for a clone pack. Then you need a strong 16 player team that are capable of beating a highly competitive team (which is generally what's found in PC at the moment). Then you need to win several battles, each of which costs 80 mil as well. Once you deplete the enemy clone reserves, your remaining clones move in and the district is yours.
It's a bit of a long-term goal for a new corp really. It's very difficult to get up there right now. |

Sorry, This is PS3. I have no desire to do it, I just wondered if you just eventually got a prompt once you have enough credits or if you needed something specific before it becomes an option. Just wanted to know what was involved. Since there is nothing in-game to let you know what a corporation would need to do.
So once you buy a clone pack, then it becomes an available option?
*edit* Also, is that true for places that haven't been "settled". Just making sure it has nothing to do with numbers or assets, just straight hard cash. |

*edit* Also, is that true for places that haven't been "settled". Just making sure it has nothing to do with numbers or assets, just straight hard cash. Basically, you need clones to attack a territory (and claim it). If you have districts producing clones, you can attack from there, keeping in mind attrition rates i.e. how many clones you lose depending on how far your attack is.
If you don't have districts, then you buy the 80mil ISK clone pack. Or if you don't want to attack from a particular district etc.
The defender will have anywhere from 300-450 clones, replenished between 80-100 clones a day. Any attacks on the district stops it from producing clones, so attacking a district multiple times will eventually wear down the clones the defender has available to defend with.
This is my understanding, for more info please read the dev blogs. |

Feel free to get in touch with me in game or on Skype. I'd be happy to walk you through how to do it. Explaining this stuff through voice coms is always better. |

Again, probably another stupid question, where exactly would you find these clone troops. Not expecting it to be visible yet, but what tree allows you to purchase them or where exactly would they be located.
Sorry if these are stupid questions, but most of the things you guys mentioned aren't visible to myself or anyone I know. Or we just have zero idea where to look.
And not really trying to, but would like to see what is required to get there for someone. |
