After emptying clips into enemies for a while with the Enhanced Light Damage Modifier, which gives 5.0% damage bonus, I finally got the SP required to get the Complex Light Damage Modifier, which gives 10.0% damage bonus. After two matches, I found that the 10.0% bonus functioned exactly the same as the 5.0% damage bonus. I was expecting a one-shot kill, but it doesn't work. I'm using sniper rifles and I tried various different sniper rifles and they all behaved just like when the 5.0% Damage Modifier was equipped. So is it broken? Don't tell me the game is broken, I just want to know if this certain item is broken. Thanks. |

It's a very small increase in damage, are you sure you didn't benefit? Especially with sniper rifles, the bonus of a damage mod may go unnoticed until once or twice where it totally saves your arse. |

Seriously you expect only a 10% increase to put you into one shot kill territory? On any rifle with less than 200 base damage thats less than a 20 point increase, my basic militia fits have more shields than that without any extenders |

I will give it a try again, but I appreciate the input. Thanks. |

We're talking about a 5% increase from, what? 40? That is like 2 more damage points... The idea of it is for stuff like Scrambler Rifles where the damage goes from 80 to 88. Or snipers. |

Hmm, stacking damage modifiers. I'll have to give that a try! Much appreciated, thanks. I'm an armor tanker, by the way. |

Depends on what weapons you are using it on. If you are using then on an SMG, or something, you won't see much of a difference. It's, what, 1-2 more damage? But, if you use it with the Scrambler Rifle, you can get a big damage boost. Especially if you are stacking them. I stack 2 enchanced on a proto fitting and do, almost, 90 damage per shot. That's without the damage boost from skills and whatnot. With those it's closer to 100.
Snipers benefit huge from it. I mean, the Thale(officer weapon) has 355 damage. 10% increase to 390. If you are using a heavier suit, you can get well over 400+ per shot if you stack them. Which is CRAZY, son. They can be useful, just depends on what weapons you are using. |

I just stacked 2 Complex Light Damage Modifiers and it is really INSANE. Really helpful. And I'm only using a Milita Sniper Rifle. But the Heavies are still a bit hard to hit, though. But I'm overall satisfied. Thanks, everyone. |

Stacking is the key, but be warned that stacking penalties apply to damage mods. You might think 4 x complex damage mods will give you +40% damage but when you factor in the stacking penalty it actually works out at something like +29.96%. Still a nice damage buff there. |

I'm guessing the stacking penlty is the same as in eve, in that case multiply your 10% with these numbers:
Stacking penalty mod for Nth module or rig = 0.5 ^ [ ((N-1) / 2.22292081)^2 ] 1 : 1.0000000000 2 : 0.8691199806 3 : 0.5705831430 4 : 0.2829551534 5 : 0.1059926494 note: modules with highest bonuses are calculated first. |
