Suggestion for us to get forum signatures :)
Some things you might want to do :
1. Need 10 likes to have a forum signature
2. 0.99$ a month for a forum signature or 10# a year
3. Free, anyone can have one even if they never posted in a thread or have any likes.
4. You can make your own too CCP :)
5. Members, put down other rules for forum signatures so CCP gets a good amount of ideas :)

While I do like signatures, they can be very helpful. I fear in this community it will simply be put to annoying uses. |

Well, i'm not talking about pictures if that's what you're thinking. If people abuse them, CCP can temporarily or perma ban them from using forum signatures. |

id like free sigs be a good way to promote your corp with a few words as opposed to how it only shows the name on the forums |

They take away important space by virtue of their existence.
They shift the focus away from the actual content.
The information is largely unrelated to any given subject, often even to the game.
They invite the occasional abuse, putting more stress on moderation, and further cluttering up the boards in the meantime.
If i need to know your PSN ID's, Alt names, K/Ds or anything of the sorts i can just straight up ask for them or use one of the online API services for most of this stuff. No need to add information that is of no use for the vast majority of visitors or the discussion.
And i will sacrifice a kitten to the lord almighty cthulhu everytime i'm forced to see some pseudointellectual quote as a closing to the average nonsense that every forum is riddled with.

I'm stuck. I like how clean the forums are (barring mindless rants) but I think Sigs can work as long they are limited space wise? that way you don't have people with lots of stuff under a tiny post. Also you should be limited to 1 image which can only be certain formats, e.g. PNG, JPG, JPEG, etc.

i use Gfaqs fairly often they allow sigs something like 2 lines and i think 200 characters and sigs have to follow the exact same rules as any post so i honestly cant see them being any more of a problem than posts can be |
