Missiles are too inaccurate at max normal range anyways. The only way I can ever get a kill at such a range if I count on a lucky direct hit on someone, otherwise chances that I land enough splash damage on anyone is minimal.
Missiles still need to be buffed because railguns beat them at any range and at being effective AV and blasters beat them at short range and at being effective anti infantry.
Splash radius needs to be buffed (not the focus of this thread), as well as their accuracy. One thing that will make missiles notable if they have a limited ability to self correct their flight path so that their accuracy is higher. Would definitively help when my volleys keep flying past their targets 90% of the time.
As it stands right now, hitting anything with all four missiles gets extremely hard beyond 100m. Giving missiles some tracking ability will greatly extend their effective range out to their max range.
On a side note, one would expect the accelerated missiles to have more range but they don't. |

Blaster optimal range bonus (Gallente Enforcer) is relatively useless as well. Ever stood in front of the Blaster turret at any normal range and just watched the bullets buzz past you? Because I have.
I do agree that a missile accuracy bonus may be worthwhile for the Falchion if CCP is not willing to improve missile accuracy across all turrets (it's horrible, my missiles go nowhere near my target reticule even if I'm still). |

At least the blaster is a precision weapon that shoots directly where you aim. However, I'm tired of having my missiles fly right next to my targets so that I have to resort to the much weaker splash damage. Sometimes that's impossible because of the angle if the ground they are standing on.
By the way, how far is the optimal range on a 'normal' blaster? |
