The problem with the TAR right now is that it doesn't take skill to use since you can unload in someone's general direction and kill them with incidental damage outside your optimal range due to its large DPS and clip size. It's also too effective in CQC, where the breach should be dominant. LAVs are at least more balanced because you have to steer the damn things without flipping them over lol. Also, if you're still crying about LAV, use an AV weapon. Not hacked EXO grenades because you're too lazy, but an AV weapon that takes up your primary weapon slot. Until you do so, you're nothing but a rock, crying about paper because you're too lazy to run with scissors.

I tend the find that the guys complaining about the Tac and say "I need to use one just to keep up" are the ones with the scrub style of using it
I've seen that as well. Out of all the cases where someone is praying and spraying in my general direction, cutting me down with a cluster of lucky shots, I find a handful of players that take well calculated and well placed shots to kill me. Those are the players I respect and those are the ones who use the weapon and will admit to it being a bit OP. I hope that the TAR gets balanced enough so those players can shine with it.
The ones that are using it to stay competitive suffer a sad fate. The TAR may not be for them, but they feel the need to step outside their comfort zone just so they don't get outclassed by a currently classless weapon. |
