Hello,
Looking to get some information on the Corporations in dust. I get the fact that they act like clans and what not but how do they fit into the rest of the eve universe?
1) I created a corporation with some friends and we have a few members but how does that affect EVE?
2) How can we start battling for control of districts?
3) Can an EVE player be part of our Corp?
4) (if yes to 3) Do they have to be part of our Corp or can they just hire us out?
5) How does our corporation make money besides donations from our Dust mercs?
Any other advice would be great. And thanks to all who help! This game is great and we look forward to being able to have an affect on more in this fun universe! |

1) Your corp can set up surface infrastructure on the districts you own, and sme give bonuses to EVE players. 2) You need to buy a clone pack, its 80 million per clone pack, and each pack gives you 150 clones. Move the clones to the district you want to attack (has to be in Molden Heath, or colored in the corp section of the star map). Try to interacting with a district in Molden Heath (select it, press x) and an option to buy a clone pack should open. 3) EVE player can be a part of your corp. EVE players in your corp or allied corps can give you orbital support in planetary conquest. 4) Hire you for what? 5) Owning districts leads to clone production, which makes millions.

At the moment the only way you're able to affect the eve universe as a corp is to play planetary conquest and even that doesn't really affect eve much. Go to your star map - corporation tab and zoom in until you can see the district level. Pick a district to attack and line up a battle for 24 hours after the next timer. This will likely be a very tough battle and you'll need 80 million isk in your corp wallet to buy the clone pack to launch the attack. Good luck.
If you get 2 - 3 wins in a row, you'll get yourself some land and start producing clones which can be sold. This is currently the only way to make isk as a corp other than donations.
As for eve players. Yes they can join your corp but you'll struggle to recruit them unless you have some already or have access to the recruitment area of eve. You can tax their eve activities but have no access to eve money from the dust side.
There is no hiring mechanism for corps and no way to transfer isk between the 2 games at this time. |

Another way you can affect the EvE universe is through faction warfare - you can find those matches in the 'Mercenary' tab. If you win some matches for a faction of your choice, the faction takes districts. You don't personally own them, but it helps your chosen faction and it helps EvE players attack or defend systems.
You can also have EvE players provide you with 'proper' orbital strikes in these matches. |
