As first identified in post #174 here and conclusion being made in #177 here, the Nanocircuitry skill is having a 5% CPU reduction bonus to Nanohives and Nanite Injectors.
The description in-game does not mention this hidden bonus. Also, other equipment skills (Active Scanner Operation, Drop Uplink Deployment, Repair Tool Operation) do NOT have similar effect on their respective modules.
The bonus seems to equal 5% per level Militia Nanohive (base 30 CPU) took 28 CPU at LVL1, and 25 CPU at LVL3 30 * 0.95 = 28.5 rounded to 28 in-game 30 * 0.85 = 25.5 rounded to 25 in-game
Nanite Injector (base 15 CPU) took 14 CPU at LVL1,and 13 CPU at LVL3 15 * 0.95 = 14.25 rounded to 14 in-game 15 * 0.85 = 12.75 rounded to 13 in-game
Is this the intended bonus of this skill (it used to be in Chromosome's description)? Or is this a bug?
People are complaining that my tool is inaccurate because of this. I need to know if i should modify the tool for this, or wait for CCP to fix the bug
Thank you |

The latest version, 3.2.0, has it. I've marked it in red on the skill sheet, with a link to this same thread
Oh, and i love the new forum notifications! Would never have seen your reply without those |

Yeah I figured it out after I made a build and my nano injector had X.5 CPU.
I got to say, I'm not complaining
Thanks again. |

Well apparently the "short" description of the skill that you see when you go to market and then Skills / Dropsuits category does state 5% CPU reduction.
I can honestly say that: never since the beginning of the game did i go to Skills section of the market, that's just not the way you buy skills in Dust. Considering that the GMs had to "get back to me" on this issue after confirming with Dev team proves that i am not the only one.
Bottom line: the bonus is here to stay (the description needs to be updated), confirmed through petition |

Hey since you got an answer for this... see what they say about explosives skill not giving the 3% reduction to cpu of grenades and explosives next.
FYI... thankfully this is not a bug.... all my loadouts would be skunked. |

They patched the Explosives bug like last week or the week before. |

That's right, the Explosives bug had been fixed (i checked in-game on Grenades... haven't tried REs though) |

My mistake, for some reason my existing suits were still showing the no effect, had to delete them and remake for the -3% cpu to take effect.
But it has been a few days since a fresh install, and a lot of freezes in-between, I might need to do another one. |

Explosives bug? What is this problem exactly.. I only noticed that Boundless Remote explosive and its only advantage the blast radius has been reduced to 5m same as some frackin standard remote explosive has.. It is a prototype explosive and is now totally useless i can use the normal remote explosives and get the same result.. Compared to other prototype weapons or things the boundless remote is now really unbalanced and underpowered given the SP you need to put into them. |

There was a bug where the "Explosives" skill was not reducing the fitting CPU requirements of grenades. That has been fixed. |

Here you go hydraSlav. Every Nanohive (AUR and ISK) with every Nanite Injector (AUR and ISK).
My Nanocircuitry is at 5 so it's much more apparent the amount of CPU reduced.
