I thought we all agreed after chromosome that a free version of vehicles was a BAD idea. |

In closed beta we did have for a while free tanks lavs and derpships...
Spam spam everyhwere. So they took them out nerfed vehicles to hell and back and are now fixing them.
Lavs should not be free but untill they release the speeders they will stay probably. |

We had free vehicles in one of the builds around E3 last year.
It was hilariously LOLtastic. But bad. Not what should be happening. |

I remember when dropships would camp the towers outside the draw distance.

Seriously though it's a bad idea. As was said they were free during a period of closed beta and they were spammed like crazy. It was the reason I went down the av path originally. |

Ah, sucks man. Have wait till one goes boom or something.
Imagine, MLT rail gun snipers that can't get hit by AV & free LAV's. the dedicated Tankers, Dropship pilots etc would most probably either stop playing, or run militia gear, as they have invested all their SP & ISK into vehicles and can't call them in.
Other that the reasons I've posted in this thread, why not? |

Tbh we used to have free Dropships and tanks. They were pretty rubbish just like the LAV, but they gave you something to just **** around with, and tbh, made the game a bit more dynamic in pub games.
They were complete rubbish vs a single guy with proper AV, the same way the free LAVs are. |
