Please share your settings in this format-
I cant find settings that work. I'm playing with settings that give a decent mid range aim, but sniping-long or CQC... a stern stare is more effective than any gun play.
Sensitivity in game:
DPI: (if known)
Long range play:
Close Quarters play:
Sensitivity in game: 40
DPI: 2000
Long range: sniper rifle is unplayable, but mid-long with a tact rifile is ok
Close Quarters: Awful. |

Long range: Fair
Close Quarters: Can get pretty crazy.
Is it just me and my setup or does everyone's aiming move faster when moving the mouse slowly than when moving it fast? It's so weird. |

I tried McFurious's setup myself.
I googled around and it seems the 'standard' mouse DPI is 800.
So I went
DPI: 800
Sensitivity: 90
Its a lot better than my settings, not perfect mind you, but it makes the sniper rifle usable and is a bit better in close quarters. When I get used to it I can see it being ok.
If your finding it hard going its well worth a try. |

Mouse: xscroll
Sensitivity: 70
Sniper : u need a high sensitivity to move fast with the scope
Cqc:ok if u want to shotgun lower it to 50 or 40.
Midrange: is ok at 70 |

Sensitivity in game: Controller X/Y and Mouse @ 100, Mouse Smoothing off
DPI: 500, 1000, 4000
Long range play: Sniper. I stay @ 4000 unless they are standing still and I want line up a headshot.
Close Quarters play: I stay @ 4000 all the time.
Make sure you have mouse smoothing off. It's unplayable with that on.

Ordinary Microsoft mouse.
Mouse sensitivity : 90
mouse smoothing off
I turned both mouse smoothing and controller aim assist on then off. To make sure no funny bug can affect me. |

DPI = No idea wtf this is
Sens = 40
Mouse smoothing off
Long range = Fair for a rail sniping tank
CqC = almost spot on for all turrets
Edit: Btw Controller is set to 50/50 for X and Y... I've noticed it makes a little diffence |

Logitech G400 @3600 DPI
Senstivity 90
DS3 Aim Assist turned off, PS:Move Deadzone x/y set to 0. Both of these settings affect mouse control in this game due to the emulated nature of it rather than proper hardware input.
It's far from perfect, but Dust is a really slow moving game compared to other shooters I'm used to so it's very playable. |
