In the Academy battles why is there nowhere to get ammo considering no one would be specced into nanohives yet because most of us have no idea what we are doing? Is CCP really that bad at map design or am I supposed to run around empty trying to melee people or call a LAV? |

You can equip militia nanohives.
>R1 to open menu >Marketplace >Militia Gear >Equipment >Militia Nanohives
If you have trouble equipping one on a starter fit, get a militia CPU upgrade or PG upgrade from the market depending on what you're lacking. |

Lol funny you said that because I looked into that and thought that would change my situation. Then I used one and it gives you like a clip worth of ammo lol so thats why I was still confused as to the reason there is nowhere for new players to get ammo during a round. |

Yeah, they went a bit overboard when they nerfed nanohives. You used to get 2 packs and I think double the cluster output at militia level. There wasn't a reason to spec into anything outside the level 1 back then. |

Which level of nanohive do I need to give me full ammo or is there one?

Level 1 in nanocircuitry will unlock the basic nanohives and nanite injector. You won't get much more nanite clusters than the militia, but it's worth it. |

If you have to restock naids then it will use up the nano fast. |

I've played academy battles in an alt... it can alternate between ambush and skirmish in some random manner. I imagine that can be confusing when completely new as the rules seem to change from time to time with no visible reason. Maybe they could provide two academy modes and let the player choose?
I'd also like it if they gave new players the option of going straight into non-academy modes -- perhaps with a small text warning with continue and cancel options. I like the idea of letting new players get a reality check if they think they are too good for the academy. |

Standard level nanohives let you drop two and you can skill into them fairly cheaply |

I miss being able to use my scout fitting to run to an objective, switch to a mine layer fitting, and to my general logistics MD fitting when needed. If they're worried about the full armor thing, take that away and give us more depots. |

Ya im not sure what was happening but I never saw an ammo box all night lol. I would end up running around trying to melee ambush people since thats all I had left.

Actually that was another question I had. Do you use a suit every time you switch to a new one as in it uses up a suit and needs to be restocked or can you switch back and forth between suits without depleting them? |

You used to not lose a suit but at the beginning of Uprising you did. I haven't payed attention to see if they fix it yet, just check your suit count. There were more holes in the patch notes than plot holes in a M Night Shyamalan movie. |

Its because academy is a poorly implemented half idea that CCP rushed out the door without any player input and proper testing.
Its teaching you that CCP does not care about helping you to learn the game and its dog eat dog out there.
Its equivalent to giving a child a knife and throwing him into the woods with a survival book written by a autistic. |
