Has this weapon recently received a buff, seen on a few maps a lot of quite absurb flaylock kills, ie guys aiming no where near the target they are shooting at and still getting kills. The splash dmg/range for a side arm is terrifying enough but am starting to think it could potentially more than what it states?
It could be people are just getting better with the weapon and taking advantage of shooting the ground people are going to be walking on, but as a victim and watching other people getting blown away (which is lol ill admit) the splash dmg/range seems very very large for such a weapon. My 2 cents. |

1- 2.5 meters... depending on meta level. That's not what I'd call huge. = )
Damage is kinda high, but not overwhelmingly so. Especially with only three shots. Since they removed scrambler pistol headshot bonus, the Flaylock is a go to sidearm. People will realize.
They'll only become more common. The Prototype is pretty damn nice though. |

the range indeed doesn't seem that large, but put into the context its used I think it is a little misleading, I felt as if splash dmg was being projected out much farther. As for the damage ive seen the flaylock been used to finish off tanks and even though it only has 3 shots, the user doesn't even need to hit the target to put 600 dmg on it.
Am not asking for a nerf of any kind I think the weapon is cool, but the splash damage is something they should look at, as you say, it will be the go to side arm once everybody gets a taste of its power. |

I dunno. It takes a lot of 'skill' (not SP... though that too) to make it worth running. For the same SP (and module slots) that those guys are running, you can get a nice proto SMG to put people down without all the fuss of weakened damage to shields, tiny clipsize, high CPU usage, maybe killing yourself, etc...
I mean, it rocks... but most people prefer the 'spray and pray' technique upclose I find. Pistols (well all sidearms really) are a bit of a fetish of mine. = )
At least in video games. |

One possible factor: a lot of dedicated Flaylockers used the last respec to dump points into the proficiency skill to buff the damage. You could also make the thing downright terrifying with damage mods. (The Core Flaylock could easily One Hit low level scouts by grazing them with the very edge of the splash.) |
