Hi,
I'd like to buy DUST514 Mercenary packs, but the lack of details is ridiculous: why in the world would I spend money on mystery items? I don't know what they LOOK like, I don't know what they DO and more importantly, I don't know what the SPECIFICATIONS and prerequisites to use these items are!
Please wake up: add pictures AND detailed descriptions (weapon damage, specs, dropsuit specs, prerequisites, etc.).
Also, it's not cool to offer different items per packs; you'd think buying the most expensive one would include items from the cheaper packs... But no.
SUGGESTIONS -Since we're paying, can't we get to CHOOSE what we want? (weapon skin (the look, the colors ,etc.), weapon class (assault, sniper, etc.)) Kind of a customize-your-pack feature. -Create a database of all Dust514 market items that could be accessed from any web browser, not just in-game on the PS3.
So a quick recap, in case I lost you: I will not pay for packs as long as it's missing these details: 1. Picture (what does it look like), 2. Full specs (What does it do) 3. Prerequisites (what skills do I need).
Thanks.

P.S.: The Hacked Drop Uplink's description is not helpful at all. It says: "The Hacked Drop Uplink allows you to place a custom spawn point on the battlefield for your team."
What a surprise... that's what a Drop Uplink does. Duh. That's no different from the normal Drop Uplink. |

You can choose what you spend your money on, it's called AUR items. You're free to spend your money on exactly what you want.
If you want more bang for your buck, the Packs are CCP's 'value' or 'bundle' system. Obviously it's not going to be a 'build your own' selection, although I hope they do come out with racial and role variations...
Pretty much all the gear are Standard level BPO's that are Militia Grade equipment (ie, the 'Toxin' Assault Rifle is as good as the level 1 Assault Rifle, but requires no skills in Assault Rifle Operations to equip). |

-I know about AUR. These packs are very limited and for some reason, the more expensive one doesn't include items from the other packs. -Like you said, I'd like to have more racial and role variations. -I have no idea what a "Toxin" Assault Rifle is and I don't like when a system takes for granted that its user supposedly know everything.
Thus : the Mercenary Packs are missing critical information.

The Scram Pistol and Swarm Launcher (Dren) in the $100 pack currently have the wrong stats (militia reqs rather than standard, so they're less efficient). They've yet to reply to any threads about people reporting it. So, I definitely wouldn't spend money on the $100 pack. Not exactly sterling customer service with fudged stats on the items. |

The contents may not be on the PSN, but they're on the official Dust 514 web page under Add-Ons. I believe that despite the different pretexts, they're all standard level equivalents...
